Artie & Lenora are hopeful adoptive parents from New York waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

WELCOME,

Hi! Our names are Lenora and Artie. Although we can not begin to know or understand all of the feelings you must have at this difficult time, we know that you are making this choice out of love. This is truly an unselfish act that shows your compassion and unconditional love.  That love would continue if you were to choose us. We and all of our family would love your child endlessly. Hopefully, this letter will offer you a feeling of comfort as you consider us as parents for your baby. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. We will always make sure your child knows how special you are and how much love went into your adoption plan. Our lives were touched by the miracle of adoption in January of 2007 with the birth of our son, Austin. We are now anxiously searching for our second miracle! The two of us would love for Austin to have a sibling. Austin's birthmom is a loving, caring young woman. She found us right here on parent profiles and we bonded immediately with her and e-mailed daily. The two of us have continued to email with each other and we are happy to send her pictures. Our adoption experience with her has been amazing. We were honored to be invited by her to be at the hospital when Austin was born. Austin's birth was the best day of our life. She will always hold a special place in our hearts and Austin will always know that she made the choice out of love. Please take the time to check out our journal where Austin's birthmother wrote a letter about our adoption experience. The two of us realize that you may not be comfortable with the same type of relationship that we have with Austin's birthmother and would totally respect your wishes if you did not want contact with us. We hope that you can help fulfill our dream of completing our family! Send us a message

We met through friends and began dating fifteen years ago.  The two of us have shared every day together from that moment on.  We have been married for thirteen years.  Together we share honesty, friendship, and a love that grows stronger every day. We were brought here today through the love we have for each other, the strong desire for Austin to have a sibling, and the struggles of infertility.   As we grew up, our families always made sure that the children's needs were met first and we intend to do the same.

Family is very important to us.  Both of our families live nearby and we see them often.  Our families are very excited and supportive of our decision to adopt another baby.  They know how important children are to the two of us and can not wait for us to complete our family.  With grandparents so close by, the baby will be surrounded by love, hugs and kisses, and a lot of attention.

Artie's thoughts about Lenora

Lenora is a very caring and warm-hearted person.  She always thinks of others and puts everyone else first.  I am fortunate that she loves being a full time mom and homemaker.  She is a wonderful mom and loves to spend all of her time with Austin. Lenora loves to read to him, sing to him, teach him new things and play with all of his toys. Austin keeps her on the run. Now that the nice weather is here they are outside a lot. It will not be long and they will be in the pool having a blast. Austin is her little helper,he follows her every place. He even likes to help her in the kitchen. It brings so much happiness to me to see her with him. She loves being a mom!

Lenora enjoys decorating our home.  One of her hobbies is floral design and we have several beautiful arrangements in our home that she has created.  She has made our house a home with all of her special touches.  Lenora has had so much fun decorating Austin's room and she is anxious to decorate the next room.

Lenora is also a wonderful aunt.  She loves to spend time with Abigail and Nolan.  The three of us attend ball games, concerts, and dance recitals.  The kids always ask Aunt Lenora if she is coming to their events.  She also enjoys spending time with our friends children, one of which is her godchild.  Lenora is known to always have a camera on hand.  She never misses a Kodak moment of any of the special kids in our life.

Lenora's lifelong dream has always been to be a full time mom.  When we learned that we could not have children she was devastated.  She knew that she needed to have children in her life and was willing to do whatever it took, including several medical interventions to attempt to become pregnant. This devastation gave way to hope when we discovered adoption. She is a great mom.  Lenora has all the necessary qualities.  She is affectionate, loving, warm-hearted, generous, and very family oriented. I know she is so excited for our second little miracle. Adoption is the answer to our prayers.

Lenora's thoughts about Artie

Artie is an amazing dad! He is definitely a hands on dad. I love to see him take care of Austin. He has a sparkle in his eye and I know how proud he is. The minute Artie gets home from work Austin is running to the door yelling Daddy, Daddy! Artie picks him up right away for kisses. One of the first things that Austin likes to do with him is lean his head back for Artie to hang him upside down. Another one of his favorites is to do high fives and low fives. The two of them have so much fun together. Artie just finished building Austin a swing set and we all have fun with that. Austin loves the sandbox and the slide. Artie is also a caring, giving person with a good sense of humor.  He is always the first one to volunteer help to his family and friends whenever he is needed.  When I married Artie I knew he would not only be my husband, but also my friend.  His love, strength, and support has made our marriage very strong.  Artie is all that I hoped he would be as a dad and more!

Artie also enjoys spending time with our niece and nephew.  He is a kid at heart himself.  At family gatherings, Artie is always playing with the kids, whether it be baseball, a board game, or one of his favorite video games.  He also enjoys taking them fishing and playing miniature golf.  Artie enjoys golfing and looks forward to the day he can teach his child how to play the sport.  He also enjoys swimming, working out, baseball, and bike riding.

Although Artie has changed his profession from a general contractor to law enforcement he still keeps up on his carpentry skills.  He is very talented with carpentry.  He built most of our house and has handcrafted cabinets as well. He made our niece a cabinet for her doll clothes and a cabinet for my dad's nascar collectables.

Artie has always felt that the only way our life would be complete is to have children.  He is so excited about our second adoption journey. My husband has all of the values and qualities it takes to be an amazing dad.  Artie has a heart of gold.  He is considerate, loving, generous, and family oriented.  I know he can not wait for the day when he will be blessed with another child.

Our Promise to You As parents we promise unconditional love, lots of fun, financial security, a loving home, and strong family traditions and values. Austin is the light of our life and has brought us so much love and happiness. We hope that you can bless us with our second precious miracle. The two of us can not express how much we love being parents. We look forward to expanding our family one day soon! We also share our home with our dog Onyx.  She is an adorable and lovable four year old black Labrador.  Onyx is very friendly and loves to play with children. She loves to play ball, frisbee, and to be chased around the yard. Onyx is very good with Austin and is also protective. Our home is a newly constructed three bedroom log cabin.  It was built with a lot of love, as the two of us did most of the work ourselves.  We have a beautiful screened in back porch, which is perfect for family gatherings.  Our backyard has an above ground pool and plenty of room for playing. We are so anxious to see Austin in the pool this year. He loved it last year and we know he will have much more fun this year. Austin tries to swim in the bathtub. The neighborhood is quiet and our home is located on a dead end culdesac, so there is very little traffic.

We would love to hear from you!

We will fill your child's world with love and they will know what a family is. The two of us understand that this is a difficult time for you.  We want to assure you that a baby would have lots of love and endless hugs and kisses.  We can also offer the love and support of our families, as well as our extended family of close friends.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read about us.  We are so thankful for the courageous decision that you have made in your life. The two of us hope that you will find what you have been hoping for in us!
