Bubba & Molly are hopeful adoptive parents from Tennessee waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Friend, Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We’re glad to have the opportunity to share a little about ourselves and hope you will want to know more. Adoption has been an unexpected blessing in our lives. We hope that you, too, will be blessed in surprising ways along your journey with your child. After years of trying unsuccessfully to conceive we turned to adoption and began to meet some of the most wonderful, caring people on Earth. Our eyes were opened to compassionate professionals who longed to help, experienced friends who would hold our hands, and our son’s very loving birthparents. It will be an honor to tell him over and over about his adoption and their amazing love for him. (It’s fun that he is now, at age three, starting to remember parts of his story.) From the beginning, however, we wanted at least two children. We both grew up with siblings and cherish those relationships. We’re excited to ponder the possibilities of a second adoption! What will our child’s story be? Who will join our circle of family and friends?
Knock, Knock. Who's there? Molly, Bubba and Thomas! We are a devoted, faithful family of three. Our friends might describe us as optimistic, conservative, laid-back, patient, independent, hard-working, dedicated, or content. Molly likes crafts, reading and nature. Being a stay at home mom is the best job ever. Bubba likes sports, history, and action movies. He loves being a dad (and is also the uncle all the kids want to tackle). Thomas is an energetic preschooler who loves boy stuff: vehicles, dirt, noise, fishing and baseball. He’s also very cuddly.

Family
In addition to a big brother (who can’t wait to be a big brother), seven cousins await our baby-to-be. They live in fun places to visit, all within a half day’s drive. We recently had our first Cousin Camp, a sleep-over with all the cousins on Molly’s side. It was a blast, and all the kids want to do it again – at the family farm next time. The grandparents are thrilled at the prospect of rocking, cuddling and cooing once again. Our family gatherings tend to be crazy with the happy sounds of children running and playing together. Is there anything better?
Resort Living What started years ago as an office romance, has now blossomed into this: eleven years of marriage, a precious son, and two big dogs surrounded by 700 acres of fun (and lots of teenagers from September to May). We live on the campus of a boarding school where there is always something going on. Bubba coaches baseball and football, and Molly enjoys being a stay at home mom (after a teaching career). A typical day might find us playing with the preschool neighbors in the quad or visiting baseball practice or meeting in the dining hall for lunch together. In fall we like to pull our wagon across campus for tailgating and a football game. Summertime finds us all in the campus pool. The dogs especially love our walks on the trails in the woods.
Off campus we are active in our church. Between Sunday services, special events (planning and participating) and regular activities we find ourselves there two or three times a week. The young families in our church truly enjoy each other’s company. Chattanooga offers so much to do and see! Some of our favorites are the Tennessee Aquarium, the Children’s Discovery Museum, a park with a splashing fountain, and a walking bridge across the Tennessee River. And the possibilities for day trips are abundant! We love living here.
Home Home is so much more than a place to lay your head. Home is what sticks with you long after you have grown up and moved away. It's what guides you in new situations. Home is what comforts when the new life feels odd. Whether a day at home is filled with something special or nothing at all, it's a day that resides in the heart. We want our children's home to be full of happy, healthy and sustaining memories that will enrich their entire lives. Some of those memories are hugs & kisses, being tucked in each night, dinner as a family, bedtime prayers, playing in the autumn leaves, making cookies, cuddling in our favorite reading chair, playing hide & seek, putting on music and dancing… and so much more.

Your vision
