About Us:

We have been married for eight years, and each day we grow, share and find our hearts expanding for one another and the world around us. We have many wonderful friends and close family with whom we share many holidays and visits during the year. Both of us like to ride bikes on the trails near our house, walk to see the beautiful sunset over the river and swim during the summer at our favorite swimming hole. We both try to maintain a physically active and healthy life style. Most of all it is our shared sense of humor and compassion that enriches our lives and we know will enrich a child's life. We want the chance to share this.

What I love most about Charlie by Lauren:

Charlie is gentle and kind, has a delicious sense of humor and above all, always looks for a solution when we have a conflict or a problem. He does not hold a grudge or judge me or others harshly. My family and friends agree that he brings out the best in me, encouraging me in my work and hobbies. He is intellectually curious, extremely hard working and has a common sense approach to life. Charlie always sees the glass half full, an eternal optimist. I love to watch the gentle way he interacts with his parents, whom we are lucky enough to see often. He always thinks of great fun kid oriented things to do with the nieces and nephews. This summer when we went to visit my nephews in Montana one of their friends commented, "if only my father could've been like Charlie." I know he will make a great, loving, fun dad.

What I love most about Lauren by Charlie:

Lauren is compassionate and kind and very playful. I know she will be a great mother. All of our friends' children consider her their second mom. She is full of energy and is so passionate about everything she does. She is a talented artist and very committed to her work as a therapist. Lauren challenges me to be the best husband I can be. Lauren recently lost her older sister to illness. She immediately stepped up to be there for her nephews in the hardest of times. Their father has commented on how she was able to be there for the boys in ways that would've made their mother proud. She is my best friend, is always there for me. She makes me laugh and is so adorable; and I love the way she rubs my feet when I have had a hard day.

Our Home:

We live in a safe suburban area near one of the most beautiful rivers in the world. Our part of the village is filled with children. Our neighbors happen to also be our closest friends. There is a feeling here that kids come first. We live in a top rated school district just a short walk from all of the schools. Families ski and skate and sled in the winter and bike and swim, sail and kayak in the summer. We can't wait to share everything our area has to offer with a child.

Thank you again for considering us as parents for your child. We cannot imagine how it would be to think about what is best for your child. We can only imagine what it is like from where we stand, hoping and praying we will get to meet this child and bring him or her into our home.
