Hi! Thank you so much for looking at our profile. We are honored to be considered as adoptive parents for your child.

We love each other very much and want to share that love with a child.
We believe that God has a plan for each one of us, and we know He led us to Gladney to start our family.

Because becoming a family has not come easily to us, we have forever been changed, as individuals, as a couple, and as future parents. We will not take parenthood for granted. We will treasure our child as a gift from God.


About Us

We have been married for over seven years and together for almost ten years. We enjoy being outside, riding bikes, going for walks, reading good books, and playing with our dogs Gracie and Ella. We love going out to eat and spending time with our friends and family. Basically, we just like being together!

Our favorite activity is making dinner at home and watching a movie or our favorite TV show. Jill likes to bake, and we both enjoy cooking -- Italian food is our favorite (although Mexican food is a close second!).

We love to travel and look forward to sharing adventures with our child. Our favorite place to go is Cliff’s family’s home in the mountains of Colorado. There is sledding, skiing, and sleigh rides in the winter. In the summer, we take hikes, ride bikes, fish, go horseback riding, and spend lots of time relaxing. We can't wait for our child to experience all the fun!

Jill Talking About Cliff... We met in 1998, and after two months of being friends, Cliff finally asked me out. On our third date, I knew I was going to marry him when he popped in a CD while driving to dinner that night. It was my favorite band, a band that not a lot of people had heard of. I felt like we were meant to be.

I tell this to people all the time, and I am not exaggerating -- Cliff is, by far, the best person I know. He is sweet, sensitive, generous, and caring. He always has a positive attitude, and he never has a bad word to say about anyone. He is always calm and levelheaded -- and extremely patient!

Cliff is very athletic and is good at every sport he has ever tried. He recently ran his second marathon and also loves riding his bike. He is very talented when it comes to the computer and other electronics and can figure out anything technical. He will definitely be the one to put our child’s toys together! He is also an amazing photographer.

Cliff is my best friend, and I love being with him. He is going to be an amazing dad.

Cliff Talking About Jill... I didn't know the day I met Jill that I wanted to marry her, but it didn't take me long to figure it out. Soon after we started dating, I knew Jill was something special. I felt like I had known her my entire life, things just clicked. She is what keeps me going, and I can't wait to see her become a mother.

Ten years later I have the wife and friend I always hoped for. She is so beautiful she can look as good in a hat, t-shirt, and shorts as she does in an evening gown. She is a loving wife, a caring friend, and strong woman with so much potential. She will never brag about herself so I'll do it for her -- For example, she got one B in her entire college career and graduated with Honors from Law School! One of her best qualities is she doesn't know how great she is.

Jill has so much love to give. I've been blessed to have her as my wife, and I've seen the support and love she gives to her family and friends. I can't wait to see her take that next step and become the wonderful mother I know she will be. She brings a smile to my face every day, and my favorite thing to do is kiss her good morning and see her, eyes still closed, smiling back at me.

Our Dogs Most people laugh when we refer to our dogs Gracie and Ella as “the girls.” When Jill told her mother she was spending a Saturday at the spa with the girls, her mother had to ask whether that meant Jill’s friends or Gracie and Ella!

Gracie and Ella are “the girls” because we truly think of them as our kids. They are such an important part of our family, and they will be an important part of our child’s life. We adopted Gracie and Ella two years apart from our local animal shelter. Gracie is six years old, and we think she is a Sheltie-Golden Retriever mix. Ella is four years old and is a Black Labrador Retriever mix.

The girls are great snugglers, which often makes getting out of the bed in the morning difficult! We try to take them with us for holidays and vacations whenever we can, because it isn’t nearly as much fun without them. Their favorite thing is visiting Colorado. They get to run free, chase deer, and get in the river. When we get home, they sleep for a week.

Our lives would be boring without them!


Our Home

We live in a college town in Texas. Jill works at the university, and Cliff works close by. There is so much to do and see -- museums, parks, music, sports, and great restaurants.

We have lived in our current home for three years and plan on staying here for a long, long time. We have a huge backyard with lots of room to play, and we recently added on a screened-in back porch so we can enjoy even more time outside. Our neighborhood has tons of kids and is close to great schools. We live on a cul-de-sac that is the perfect place to learn how to ride a bike.

Holidays are a special time at our house, especially Halloween and Christmas. Jill usually decorates the inside, and Cliff decorates outside. He is an expert at hanging Christmas lights!


Our Families

We have been blessed with amazing families, and they are very excited about us starting our immediate family through adoption. They can't wait to become aunts, uncles, cousins, and ESPECIALLY grandparents!

Cliff has a big, close-knit family, and we are so lucky to have them in our lives. Cliff is the youngest of four children, with two sisters and one brother. There are six nieces and nephews, and his parents have such a wonderful time being grandparents. Cliff's brother and sisters are so excited about their little brother becoming a father, and we can't wait to have our child experience the love and support of his entire family.

Jill has an older and younger brother and a large extended family. Her cousin is like the sister she never had, and it has been so fun for Jill to watch her experience all the joys of motherhood. When Jill's family gets together, it is usually a loud and boisterous gathering with lots of laughter and silliness. Our child will be the first grandchild in Jill's family, and the presents from Grandma and Grandpa have already started arriving!

We also have an outstanding group of friends. Cliff and his best friend have known each other since they were one month old! We are his son's godparents, and he and his wife will be our child's godparents, too. We are looking forward to all of our children growing up together and enjoying lifelong friendships like we have.
