We joined parent profiles.com in June 2004 and on Dec. 11 of the same year a birthmother contacted us. She also lived in MD and since the holidays were fast approaching and we were going to go out of town we agreed to meet on January 2. The meeting went well and after one more e-mail she asked us to be the adoptive parents of her baby and she asked me (the adoptive mother) if I wanted to be involved in the pregnancy and I said yes, so on January 13th I was supposed to accompany her to her first doctor's appointment. Little did we know that she was going to go into labor January 3 and was going to deliver a baby boy on January 4!! Next thing we knew we were coming home on January 10th with precious cargo. We still can't believe it. Out adoption was final yesterday, May 10, it has been a miracle. Thanks parentprofiles.com for helping this miracle happen!
