On May 14, our beautiful baby boy was born. He has wonderful, loving birth parents who decided that in order to give him the things they wanted him to have in life, adoption was the best choice.

Like many prospective adoptive parents, we had placed numerous ads across the country with no success. We were getting frustrated and were losing hope when our lawyer suggested we give Parent Profiles a try. At first, we had few responses. Then, on December 26, our birth parents contacted us. They wanted to choose parents early so they could get used to the idea that someone else would be raising their child. We "clicked" right away and started emailing and phoning each other on a regular basis. When they found out the sex of the baby, they couldn't wait to give us the news.

Our very special birth parents wanted us to experience the birth with them and set up an inducement date so we could be there. Unfortunately, she went into labor earlier than planned, and because we had a far distance to drive, we missed the actual birth by a few hours. When we got to the hospital, the birth mother said, "Meet your mommy," and handed the baby to me and my husband. The birth parents even set up everything at the hospital so that we would have all the parental rights that they had (nursery visitation, feedings, baths, etc.)

Our experience with Parent Profiles was so positive that when we decide to start searching for a second child, we will forget about the ads and go straight to Parent Profiles. Thank you for making our dream come true and for giving us a way to have the most amazing birth parents find us.
