Just being listed with our adoption agency didn't seem to be helping us find a birth mother and we didn't feel like we were in the loop. Parent Profiles enabled us to know who was contacting us and gave us hope that birth families were interested in helping us start our family. After numerous contacts and exactly 14 months to the day (2 years total waiting from when we were approved for adoption to when Allie was born), we were contacted by Sammi. She was the sweetest and kindest girl. She was patient with our insecurities and we tried to help her and befriend her as well. It ended up being a great relationship and the adoption went more smoothly than I could have ever expected. We decided to just hire an attorney instead of using the agency and it ended up saving us thousands of dollars that we can now spend on spoiling our precious daughter. We look forward to having another wonderful experience to grow our family a little more.
