After a year on ParentProfiles we are happy to announce the birth, and adoption, of our son.
Our adoption was a dream come true and everything fell into place. The birthmother wanted me in the delivery room with her and her mom, and I helped her push. At 5:33 am on November 5th the baby was born. I also cut the baby's umbilical cord per the birthmom's wishes. Jim, was just outside the room and once the baby was born, he was right by his side watching as the nurses cleaned him up and placed him in our arms. I fed the baby his first bottle at 6:30 am on November 5th.
The hospital let us stay in the hospital for FREE, and per the birthmom's wishes, I had a matching hospital bracelet so I could be a part of the babies hospital stay. Jim and I stayed in the hospital, in our own room, with the baby for two days until the birthmom was released. We stayed in Ohio for one week before we could come home. And, on the last day of our stay we enjoyed a wonderful visit with the birthmom and her parents, and grandmother. It was a dream come true for us. Everything just fell right into place.
