We Are Convinced That We Have Found The Baby That Was Meant For Us. We are very pleased with the response we received from our posting at your site. I believe we signed up in April and had our baby by the end of December. By November and December we were getting one to two E-mails a week from birthparents.

This process does have its challenging side, because there is not an intermediary between you and the birthparents. It is sort of like you are always on the firing line. This means that there is a lot of screening going on by both you and the birthparents. Whether this will work well for an adoptive couple will depend a lot on their disposition and what extra things they hope to glean from the adoption process other than just getting a child. Ultimately, the most significant extra thing I feel we got from the process was a firm conviction that we had truly found the baby that was meant just for us. This has meant a lot to us and we fell it has helped us immensely in the process of bonding with our child! I have told many people about your site and will write an article or give a talk to our local adoptive parents group about how we found our baby.

So thanks a lot for your help in making us a real "family," and not just a married couple. If we decide to adopt another child, you can be sure we will sign up again.
