One week after posting our profile on ParentProfiles.com, we received an email from a family whose daughter was planning to place her unborn child for adoption. They'd made a list of what they were looking for in potential adoptive parents, and thought we might just be the ones after looking at our profile. We were amazed at how much we had in common, experientially and spiritually, as we all got to know each other over a month of emails and phone calls. Eventually, we all decided we were a perfect match, and really felt that God brought us all together. We decided to fly out, just for a short visit so we could meet each other in person before the craziness of labor and delivery. Little did we know that God had something special in mind, and our daughter-to-be arrived the day before our flight--two weeks early!! Needless to say, it was an incredible experience as we fell in love with the birthmom and her family and our baby girl all at once. After all of the paperwork was processed, we had a beautiful dedication ceremony at the birthfamily's church. Now, we're overjoyed to have our beautiful daughter and a relationship with such a wonderful birthfamily.
