For many women, early pregnancy is a difficult time, particularly if the baby was not planned. For couples delighted to becoming parents, congratulations! Early pregnancy is exciting and a busy time as many changes may have to be made, baby rooms painted, names discussed and grandparents informed. It may be a good time at this early pregnancy stage to start reading as much as you both can about pregnancy, childbirth and what it means to be a parent. And when you've prepared as much as you can and your baby is born, you'll probably feel you wasted your time! But that's nine months down the line. The stage of early pregnancy is around the first three months after conception.
