Baby Makes Three - Great Resources for the Father-to-Be

Having a baby can be an exciting time for your entire family, but if you do not have an adequate amount of resources to help you answer all of your questions, it can also become a bit frightening. A lot of focus at this time can be aimed mostly at the mother and the baby on the way. But, what about the father-to-be?

You may be the most important person in our life right now! We are so happy that you are reading about us and we look forward to learning about you and your dreams and plans for the future.

Most modern fathers-to-be are taking the initiative and playing an important role to help their partner during pregnancy. More and more dads are going to most or all of the prenatal appointments and being sure that they are involved every step of the way. Some dads however, may find it difficult at times to find the necessary resources to get all of their questions answered or their needs dealt with.

Great places to look for resources to help out during this exciting time exist in places where you would least expect them. For the dad who prefers to talk to someone one on one, you can look to your local hospital or birthing center. Lots of times, there are great "Daddy" groups where men can get together and talk about their fears, hopes and expectations that fatherhood brings. You can talk to the mother's OB/GYN to see if he or she has any suggestions on groups within your local area.

Sometimes though, it can be difficult for dads to talk to someone out in the open about the challenges they may be facing in the months ahead. In these situations there are many great resources that you can find this information by yourself. Many OB/GYN offices provide free literature or magazines regarding parenting and childbirth. These reading materials are great for helping with a lot of the common questions you may have regarding your unborn child and also caring for baby after it is born.

One of the most valuable resources today for fathers has to be the Internet. There are so many baby and parenting websites today that provide a great resource to deal with a wide range of prenatal and parenting topics from health and nutrition to bathing and diapering.
