Equate Pregnancy Test

Equate Pregnancy Test

These days it is so convenient for all women to find out if they are pregnant or not by taking the home pregnancy test. This kit can be bought from any store in your locality. There are so many brands available- Answer pregnancy kit, First response, Equate pregnancy test, Selfcare early pregnancy test etc. The pregnancy tests on the market today range widely in their sensitivity in picking up the pregnancy hormone, hCG. Usually hCG levels, if you are pregnant, are between 5 - 50 mIU a week before your period is due. The hCG levels in your system should double every two to three days.

We are a loving couple with a great life waiting to build a family. With just one thing missing, we are waiting for the ultimate blessing of providing a loving home for a child. Please read our profile to learn about the wonderful life we can provide.

The Equate Pregnancy test measures up to 20 mlU of HCG level in your urine. There are multiple types, one with the white cap which measures upto 20 mlU and the purple cap which measures upto 100 mlU. If you want to know at the earliest possible time if you are pregnant then you can go for equate pregnancy test with the white cap.

When to take the Test?

If you have a 28 day cycle and are very regular then you most likely ovulate on day 14 or 15 of your cycle and can take the equate pregnancy test as close as two days before your period is due. If your cycle is irregular then it is much harder to tell when or even if you ovulated.

Accuracy of the test

Equate Pregnancy Test is easy to use and claims 99% accuracy. The only disadvantage is it is hard to find and usually available online. It is a great inexpensive pregnancy test kit.

The tests which measure 20mlU are capable of giving an accurate positive reading 12 days after ovulation. You can take the test during this time. If you think that you are pregnant but still the test shows a negative result, you should take the test again in two days. HCG levels double about every 48 hours after ovulation. So that means that if on the day that you first tested and got a negative result and your hCG level was 15, then 48 hours later it should be approximately around 30 and detected by a Equate pregnancy test that measures as low as 20mlU.

So, if you want to detect an early pregnancy, Equate pregnancy test is always there for you.
