Risk Factors in Teen Pregnancy

Teenage girls today are not always as developed as they should be when becoming parents. Those who are 15 and 16 in age, or even younger, may face some complications. The female body and reproductive organs need time to fully grow and mature before bearing a child. When it comes to teens becoming pregnant, the body is still in the process of development and will have to stop in order to cater to the growth of the fetus inside.

Through love we came together from opposite ends of the world. In the same way, through love, we and your baby can be a family forever.

Having a child puts a lot of stress on the body as well as the reproductive organs in a woman. Generally, it is a lot easier for a woman over the age of 21 to heal and get back to work or daily activities within a few weeks. However, for teenage mothers, the healing process may be painful and incredibly long. You may feel incredibly sore for a long period of time and it may be hard for you to get your original figure back. Make sure that you encourage yourself to get in shape and do simple exercises such as yoga. These exercises will also help you to relax and become more centered and focused.

Medical care for expectant teen mothers might not always be an option, especially if there is no longer any support from parents or family. This is common when family members do not approve of the choices or decisions that have been made. When ties are cut and support is rescinded, it may leave a teen very vulnerable--needing care that they can't quite get for themselves. As a result, this can negatively affect the growing and developing fetus.

Not only will a teen have problems with medical care, unstable living conditions can also be a very huge pregnancy risk factor. A teenage mother needs to have a warm place to sleep at night and food for her as well as the baby. As a parent, it is your responsibility to ensure that you take care of your child. Make sure to protect her from a possible abusive partner that may try to harm your child and her baby. These are all risk factors that need to be considered when planning through the pregnancy.

Without money, a job, or vast knowledge of how to support themselves. If you have found that your teen has run away, it is imperative that you bring them home right away or help them make some living arrangements. Solid support is essential.

These risk factors in teen pregnancy can all be avoided when the proper care is taken. Teen mothers need to be aware of how to take care of themselves and their child, and turn to parents for love and support. Parents will play a very large role in keeping their child safe and out of harm's way. Even though it may be difficult right now, show your child love.
