Nikki & Rob
We had been on ParentProfiles.com for seven months and while we had talked to several people, we hadn't clicked with anyone.
Then one morning we got a phone call. A couple had seen our profile and wanted us to come to the hospital; they had just given birth to a baby girl the night before.
We brought our angel home the very next day. Without ParentProfiles.com, our daughter's birthparents would never have found us.
Thank you so more ...
During each of the stages of development, your baby will grow in weight and in development. You will see some of the most amazing things happen during the second trimester while the last trimester will be full of explosive growth! Baby during the first trimester will be tiny yet amazing all the same.
As a mother to be, you will want to find all the information that you can about each of the stages of development. You will begin to see many changes in baby at each week, month and trimester. You can find all sorts of information on each of the various stages on the web or ask your doctor!
During the first trimester, baby's very basic functions begin. The heart begins to beat and the baby settles into place. The body prepares for baby while organs begin to form. Hearing the tiny little heartbeat of baby will be nothing short of amazing.
During the second trimester, concentration is on the organ development. Baby's features will develop too. You will see fingers and fingernails as well as eyes and lips form. The baby is beginning to look like a baby! His organs are still working on forming and it will be some time before his skin begins to darken from its transparent stage. You will likely feel him move and you will begin to see your abdomen grow as well.
During the third trimester, baby is growing in size and finishing up his development of organs, limbs, and facial features. Hair will grow and baby will kick and move everywhere to drive mom mad. Once baby is past the critical mark of 33 weeks, he can survive pretty well if born and kept in the hospital with special treatment. Lungs are developing at this point still.
Once baby is ready he will turn head down and begin to kick mom harder. He will have grown considerably and will be ready when your body says it is time!
