This was taken at the hospital with Lily's birthmother. It was important to us for Lily to have a picture of all of us together so she'll always know where she came from and how loved she is by all of us.
Swinging is always more fun with Daddy
We want our children to lead interesting lives and experience the world. Last year we all went to France - Lily loved the baguettes, but wasn't too excited about the beret we bought her.
Three days old, she already had Chris wrapped around her tiny fingers.
Lily helping her Grandma celebrate her birthday. Chris' mom takes her "spoiling the grandkids" job very seriously, making her and Grandpa's frequent visits extra fun.
Kayaking around Lopez Island at sunset. We're excited to give Lily and her future sibling the opportunity to try out all the fun outdoor activities the Puget Sound has to offer.
There's a park with beach access only 2 miles from our house which means lots of splashing and shell gathering in the summer.
We love to head down to Portland a few times a year - it's a really fun and pretty city with lots to do and see. Here we're checking out the fountain at a weekend craft fair.
We love that Auntie Mary only lives a few minutes away - she's a ton of fun!
Snow is only 45 minutes away, including a great kiddie sled hill. Of course Auntie Lisa is counting the winters until she can teach Lily and her little brother/sister to ski.
Paco - the phone is for you! Oh, that's right, you have no thumbs...it's ok, I will hold Mama's BlackBerry to your ear.
The park 2 blocks from our house has lots of cool toys. Here Lily demonstrates how the rocker works.
A summertime hike along Deception Creek. There are tons of beautiful places within 45 minutes of the city - the best of both worlds!
Most of the events in our lives are commemorated with a silly self portrait. This was from Julie's birthday.
Our friends and family in Seattle. They adore Lily and can't wait to welcome another little one!
Self-portrait with our first Gingerbread House in 2003. Since then it's become tradition and we've made one every year.
Our favorite wedding picture
WHEEEEEEEEEEE!
Home sweet home! Last year we moved to a 4 bedroom/2 bath house - plenty of room for a growing family!
We try to take a "family fun trip" every weekend. This one was on a spring morning, checking out all the new plants.
