Here we stand in front of the Orlando temple. We are happy to be members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We were sealed as a family in a temple for time and all eternity, and we are anxious to add children to our family.

We saved my piano teaching income to buy a good first piano. We named it "Chico", after the piano-playing Marx brother. We trained Smokey to press the keys for a cat treat, so now anytime he hears music, he gets hyper and thinks it's playtime!

We visited Orlando's Sea World in 2006. I wanted to visit that one because I love biology & nature. Dave's favorite part was the huge roller coaster; in 6 years of marriage I had never heard him laugh so hard! We rode 'til our heads hurt.

Dave hates "the cold white stuff". He grew up in Houston, happily accepted a job in Florida, and vows to never move where it snows regularly. I grew up in blizzardy Wyoming, so I sometimes drag him north for Christmas. He admits he likes snowshoeing.

Tromp, tromp, tromp. Despite the fact that Dave hates snow, he loved trudging through the puffy snow with Liz's family a few years ago. Liz straightens her hair, but it gives in to natural curl if she's in the rain, on the beach, or playing sports.

We are so excited to adopt! Pick us, please, please, please! Hee, hee. Actually, we took this pick in 2003, trying to mimic our nephews who over-do their camera smiles. Dave has a great smile, but I just look like a dork!

Dave earned his Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas (go Longhorns!) He studied turbine engines, so Liz calls him our "rocket scientist". Dave also enjoys working with his hands, and was buddies with all the lab students.

Dave holds his newborn nephew Wesley, visiting for Thanksgiving. Dave is a sucker for kids, especially when they're ages 2-4. Our families always get together for holidays.

I cared for a friend's daughter 8 hrs/day. I watched "little G" from age 6 mo-15 mo, and got VERY attached! My parenting style came out: breaking things and occassionally eating sand is part of life, but naptimes and saying "please"? No exceptions!

We welcomed back Liz's parents and brother from a mission to Hong Kong on New Year's Eve, 2007. They brought back what we asked for: a 'hulu' for Liz's musical instrument collection, and Chinese abacus for Dave the math genius.

A big reason for buying our first home was the end of boring white walls. Dave and I both loved the bright paint swatches. Our friend said our home looked like a crayon box, and the name stuck. Everyone's favorite is the blue wavey ocean spare room.

It was our turn to organize the family reunion in 2008, and we stumbled onto this beautiful beachhouse, which barely contained 21 crazy people! The men had dunking wars in the pool and us women did impromptu sychronized swimming--it was hilarious!

After our Tampa vacation, Dave's spontaneous brother suggested we visit Gatorland. It was a blast! Dave's brother also posed pretending to feed his daughter to the gator statue. It shows why I married Dave: fun, easy-going, but a little more calm!

Dave made good friends working in the labs at the University of Texas. We were happy to fly back to Texas for Jay's wedding. I adapted so well to Texas, Dave's sister gave me an "honorary Texan" award. Texas is definately a state mind!

My grandmother is an expert quilter. I lived at her house the summer before I married Dave. She helped me make a quilt as my wedding present to Dave, and gave me one of her best quilts for my wedding. This 2008 picture was for her quilt scrapbook.

Dave and I frequently surprise people when we tell them we've been married 7 years. It may be that we don't have children yet, but people say we act like newlyweds. That's partly Dave's fault, since he's not shy about affection. He loves to spend tim

I'm the oldest of 5: a sister (married with kids) and 3 brothers (one married). My mother grew up in Utah, my dad in California. We lived most of our lives in rural Wyoming, (where, oddly enough, I never rode a horse, once.)
