We did not grow up loving the water, but watching our daughter have fun has made us want to give it another try. Now we do water slides and water parks with gusto.
This photo was taken at Lamb's farm. Pictured are Julie, Alaina and Julie's parents on the train.
Adam is a wonderful father and Alaina definitely looks up to her dad.
Adam's mom loves playing with her grandkids. She can't wait to have more!
Story time is our favorite part of the day. Even the dog lounges by the recliner waiting to her the night's story.
Our nephew, Ben, is 2 years old and can't wait for more cousins to play with (he wants a boy this time).
Julie and Alaina sit in the hot sun during the 4th of July parade.
This photo is of Adam's mom and dad when Alaina was 6 months old.
While it would seem natural for Julie to take Alaina to her music class (Julie's a music teacher) Adam wants his chance to play the tambourine.
Julie admits to not being a whiz in the kitchen, but cookies are always fun!
Before Julie's grandmother passed, she had the opportunity to teach Adam how to polka!
One of Julie's favorite activities as a young girl was going to the lake to feed the ducks. It was so exciting to take Alaina to try her luck. Julie's parents had to keep Alaina from jumping in.
Alaina started to become interested in trains, so one Saturday we took the Metra around town so she could enjoy the "toot, toot!"
Our dog, slugger, treats Alaina like her own pup. She lets Alaina climb on her and waits for her to drop food on the floor.
While we believe in having fun as a family, we also believe in giving back to the community. This photo was taken while we participated in the Walk for MS.
This photo was taken on a beautiful day when the family went to a local garden (with trains). Any time we can get outdoors we are there.
Julie's dad and Alaina dance after a White Sox victory.
We love the outdoors regardless of the time of year!
As much as we love family time, we value our alone time too. This photo was taken as we celebrated our 5th anniversary in Vegas!
Julie's dad and brother are both professional musicians. Julie's brother plays the trumpet and her dad plays all sorts of instruments. Julie was destined to be a music teacher.
