Amy enjoying a pretty day downtown. This is at the Artists Walk, a cool area of local artists and coffee shops that is fun to browse on the weekend. There is a fountain where kids love to get soaked as well.
Look at that smile! Amy remembers noticing Stuart's smile when she first met him. His eyes and smile were so genuine and friendly. He is as sweet as he looks and so very, very funny!!
This is Stuart, or 'Uncle Du' , with our nephew Luke. He lives just down the street from us with his other two brothers and we see them daily. As you can see, Stuart made an immediate buddy in Luke. He gets so excited when Stuart comes in the room
Amy and Stuart both love to laugh, and find humor in most things in life. Even in difficult times, we find that laughter helps keep us close to one another and keeps us moving forward. We look forward to teaching our child the power of laughter!

Welcome Home! As you pull down the tree lined streets of our neighborhood, our house sits on a nice large corner lot. It is a lovely cottage style house, not too big and not too small. The towering oaks provide the perfect amount of shade and sun.
Look at our cozy crib! Our nursery has a bird and tree theme. Stuart calls the bird Steffan and says he is waiting to sing our baby to sleep! The sheets are super soft..... Night night sweet baby!
Amy loved this crib when she saw it. She found the fixture in Mexico and thought it was really fun. There is a cozy chair and ottoman for nightly reading. We have a basket of favorite books, everything from Brown Bear to Goodnight Moon!
This is the changing table in the nursery, with more art work above to ponder. The walls are a soft gray and the ceiling is painted sky blue for lots of day dreaming time!

We both love supporting local artists and wanted our nursery to have some great, colorful pieces. We chose a 'tree' theme to build on the idea of our family tree growing and thought this painting was perfect! The colors are so vivid in person!
This is our kitchen. It is great that Stuart is so handy, because Amy has lots of project ideas! We did the blue glass tile in the back and the countertops. It turned out really well!
Here is our dining room. The floorplan of our house has a circle in the middle of it. When our nephews visit they go round and round the circle! It looks like lots of fun. We can't wait to have our own little one doing the same thing.
Here is the living room of our house. We also have a playroom, but this is where we watch TV together, email on the laptop, or just hang out. Amy picked out all the furniture with soft edges and subtle colors for a nice, calm room. Very cozy.

Our master bathroom. This took forever for Stuart to finish, but the double shower is worth it! It feels just like we are at the spa!
Stuart built our entire master bedroom suite. It is great and such a nice, relaxing place. He did a terrific job and it turned out better than we expected!
This is our street. The neighborhood has great oak trees everywhere. Most of the houses are 50+ years old. It has great character and nice sidewalks on all the streets. Lots of room for nightly walks! Our neighborhood is filled with children!
This is the nationally award winning elementary school that is a block from our house. There is a parade of moms who walk their children to school each morning. It has a great playground too that is open to the public year round.

Downtown Greenville is just beautiful! This is our claim to fame. Falls Park at Reedy River is a pedestrian park with tons of green space, and this gorgeous bridge overlooking a waterfall. Our nephews love coming here and feeding the ducks.
This picture was taken at one of the street festivals. Lots of fun on a summer day!
They don't call it Greenville for nothing. This is a favorite downtown spot of ours. We both enjoy being outdoors and love that we can enjoy the warm weather South Carolina offers almost year round!
This is in front of a water park where kids and adults can play! This was July 4th and the fireworks were a ton of fun!

Stuart and Amy really enjoy spending time together. They have known each other 10 years and still have so much fun!
In the park for some music. The symphony here gives free shows every Thursday night and we can't wait to go as a familly. Kids are always rolling down the grassy areas and it looks like so much fun!
This picture was taken on Father's Day of this year. We went to lunch with our families and had a great time!
