Our Photo Album
At a recent wedding in Maine, we rang the bell outside the chapel for good luck. Some people have sensitive ears.
Abbie see ... Abbie do. We were visiting a traveling show called "Nina in the Garden" and the art was so playful and fun - we couldn't help but act like kids!
Visiting cousin Andrea and her new baby Natasha in Los Angeles. There are lots of children to visit and play with on both sides of the family.
In Florida, Dad is retired and enjoying the good life - golfing, nature walks and shooting the breeze with his college buddies. Mom is looking forward to retirement in a few years, but for now is helping others plan for their retirements.

Celebrating with our marathon team. We had all raised money for the leukemia and lymphoma society and had endured a rigorous training program ending with a completed marathon in San Francisco. Many sore feet later, we celebrated happily.
At Thanksgiving, all the kids gravitated towards uncle Mike. Awwwwww... what a cute pair.
In our den, wearing our Navy Summer White uniforms. If you look closely, you can see Arthur, the pug, at the bottom of the picture.
The Hindu temple behind Abbie was assembled by hand with no screws or nails - all parts were transported from India and designed to fit together and interlock completely using opposing and gravitational forces. Wow!

Political activism runs in the family - from Michael's aunts who were active in the women's rights movement of the 70s and 80s to his cousins who were movers and shakers in Washington, to Abbie who makes calls for causes she believes in.
Abbie flanked by her cool parental figures. Mambo is an artist and public school teacher with a dramatic flair. Pa is a jazz announcer on public radio and produces many shows which spotlight important jazz musicians.
Everywhere we go, we find family and friends. Here we are celebrating Passover with friends in Chicago.
Abbie and Essie - two girls with the same smile - a few decades apart in age :)

Celebrating the 60th wedding anniversary of our grandparents in California. Grandpa is still going strong after all these years ...
At a wedding in Oregon, grandma showed Mike some new moves. She is surprisingly limber for a woman in her 80's!
If he could, Arthur would go everywhere with us. This was a rare moment where he got to join us at a restaurant. It was the annual "pug day" in Chicago and Jake's Pub opened its doors to pugs and their owners.
While we were in Japan, we ate lots of sushi and made lots of friends. It was an experience we will never forget.

Waiting his turn to race up 94 flights of stairs in the Chicago Hancock building, Mike tries to calm his nerves by drawing noses of all shapes and sizes (homework for his art class).
At the annual Thanksgiving bash with Marla. Marla is a photographer full-time and has many hobbies, one of which is playing the bass in multiple bands. She is very creative and is always exploring new avenues for her art.
Mike on a recent deployment with Navy buddies. They were providing humanitarian support to isolated Southeast Asian communities.
Mom came out to visit us in San Diego. We love this picture, because it's a candid shot of us at home, surrounded by family and pets in one of our favorite places to sit and relax.

Schmoozing with cousins during our Rhode Island Family Reunion - there were over 100 people there, some coming from as far away as South Africa and Israel.
We love to visit old college friends - this now means that when we visit, we get to watch their children grow up, too. Time really flies by quickly.
Arthur has always loved babies and children since he was a puppy. Any time we bring a baby home or have a baby visit, he loves to lick their hands and give them a smooch if they will allow it. Here he is with sweet little Sophie.
Taking a break during our rigorous hike. Zion National Park, Utah. We love to hike and experience the outdoors. It's quite a thrill to see some of God's wonderful creation up close.
