Alex says: "The two of us at my parents' 50th anniversary party this past summer. It was a black-tie affair, but my favorite color is orange, so of course I wore an orange tie instead."
Alex says: "Amy and I (on the left) and several members of my family on a trip to New York City, on a cruise around Manhattan Island. I have a brother and a sister, two nieces, and three nephews. The whole family often takes trips together."
Alex says: "This is my mom and dad with two of my nieces and one of my nephews. My dad is retired and my sister runs the family business."

Amy says: "I am 6th of 7 children. This is me, my brothers and sisters, and my Mom at my brother Tim's wedding. My father died a little over a year ago, at the age of 78. He and my mother were married for 55 years. I have 12 nieces & nephews."
Amy says: "My whole family -- all 29 of us -- squeeze together into my Mom's house every Christmas. The highlight of the weekend is after all the presents are open -- we throw wads of wrapping paper at one another for about an hour. Tons of fun!"
Amy says: "These are my three best friends: Wendy, Wendy, and Toni. We are inseparable, meeting for lunch every Friday. We talk about our jobs, our husbands, and our families."
Amy says: "This is a picture of me with my friend Wendy's daughter Jocelyn. It was right after Jocelyn was born that Alex and I decided we were ready to have a child ourselves."
Alex says: "Me with my best friend Bill at a recent music festival. We have been buddies since middle school. We both love live music, and attend several concerts together each year."
Alex says: "I am a mentor in Big Brothers Big Sisters. This is William, the first kid I mentored, right after we were matched. I mentored William for seven years, until he left for college this past fall."

Amy says: "This is our house, in a nice quiet neighborhood. We have 4 bedrooms and a huge back yard with a woods and a creek."
Amy says: "These are our three cats. The orange and black cats are Crackerjack and Domino, who are brother and sister. The black and white cat is Trinity, the three-legged stray we adopted a few years ago."
Alex says: "Ever since she was a kitten, Domino loves to ride around on my shoulder."

Amy says: "My college does a 'trick or treat' event each October for the local children in town. Alex and I take part every year. We've been clowns, pirates, and even Shaggy and Velma from Scooby Doo -- plus this unlikely couple."
Alex says: "We love to travel. This is a picture of us in London a couple years ago. We have also taken trips to New York, Las Vegas, Alaska, Mexico, the Bahamas, Florence, Paris, and Rome."
