Dear Birth parent Dear Birth Parents:

Hello, we would like to thank you for reading our letter and for considering us as parents for your child. We hope and pray that you find the right family even if it is not ours. If you decide we are the right family, we would enjoy getting to know you better. We have a great admiration and love for birth parents and they hold a very special place in our hearts. We have adopted a son and we see the joy and the happiness that these special spirits bring to our lives. We feel that our family is not yet complete and that there is another child to come to our home and to touch our lives with happiness and joy.

We will always tell our children that their birth parents loved them and that they will always love them. We will be open and honest and let them know about their birth parents.

Markay, Shauna, Zachary

Family Hobbies & Interests We as a family like to go camping, bicycle riding, going to movies and going to sporting events. We also go on a family vacation yearly. We also go camping with our extended family. We also like to go to the zoo with Zachary. We have a pool pass and we all love to go and play in the pool, Zachary asks everyday to go swimming. We like to go to the circus, rodeo, and anything to do with Thomas the train.

Shauna:
I like to read books and also read them to my son. I like to do crafts such as plastic canvass. I like to watch Walt Disney movies such as Little Mermaid and comedy movies. I enjoy working with children and helping them learn new things. I have worked with the special needs Olympics.

Markay:
I like reading books. I have enjoyed reading Harry Potter books. I also like ATV motorcycle riding, fishing, and hunting. I like going to sporting events.

Family Background We have been married for 11 years. We have a five year old boy, who we have adopted. We also have two dogs. We get together with our families once a month to celebrate the birthdays for that month and have a dinner. Sometimes we play games other times we just talk and laugh with each other. We like to go camping with Markay's family every chance we get to go. We like to sit out in the shade and talk or play card games. Sometimes we go to the zoo together with my family, including the nephews and nieces, and the kids love to watch the big animals move around and of course, ride the train a couple of times. Our mom's love to read books to their grandchildren and love to make them laugh.

Shauna:
I am the oldest child in my family. I have two sisters and one brother. I have 3 nephews and 2 nieces.

Markay:
I am the oldest boy in my family. I have two older sisters and one younger brother. I also have three nephews and two nieces.

about us About Shuana (by Markay)
I would like to tell you a little about the way Shauna and I started dating. I had known Shauna for a few years. We both attended the same church. I wanted to ask her out, but I was scared to ask girls out on dates. So one day I thought I could do the Twelve Days of Christmas for her and ask her out on the last day. My family helped me deliver the items to the door, so I would not get caught at the door. On the twelfth day I took 12 candy canes in a stocking and waited at the door for her to answer, but her mother answered the door. When Shauna did come to the door the first thing I remember is that her mouth dropped open. Six months later we were married.

About Shauna (by Markay)
Shauna is a great mother. She is always making sure Zach is OK. She always holds him and gives him a kiss good-bye in the morning. When she gets home from work, she will pick up our son and tell him that she loves him. When we go to Shauna's mother’s house she is always taking Zach out to the trampoline and spending time with him.

About Markay (by Shauna)
Markay loves to take Zach for rides on the ATV and on the bicycle. He is always making sure that our son has the things that he needs. He loves putting new toys together and watching Zach play with them for the first time.

About Zachary
Zachary has fun personality, has a lot of energy and is always smiling and laughing. He likes to play tug-o-war with our dog Boomer and his toys. He likes to play with his nieces and nephews and follows them around. He likes to play outside and gets mad when he has to come inside. He likes to share his food with boomer and feeds popcorn to boomer. He would love a brother or sister to play with and show them how to do things.
