Hello! We are Mike and Linda. We first want to thank you for considering adoption and for helping to make our dreams of raising a child come true. We know this may be a difficult time, but we feel you are very courageous in choosing adoption. We have crossed paths for a reason in this unique and special walk that we are sharing together. We wish you all the best in this process. Just know that should you decide to select us, your child will have the opportunity to live in a loving, caring, and fun home. Let us tell you a little about each of us. We met in college and have been together ever since. We have been married close to 15 years and the one thing that we feel would make us even more complete is a child. Our marriage is based on friendship and commitment to one another. We are extremely blessed to have found each other and feel very supported by each of our families and friends.

Linda was a schoolteacher for 6 years and has always enjoyed being around children. Mike is a physician. We married just before Mike started medical school while Linda was teaching full-time. Mike’s doctor training (residency) took us to Hawaii. This was a wonderful experience and truly paradise. There we were able to travel to several islands and explore a world unknown to two people that spent their entire lives in the central part of the United States before that time. After completion of residency, we relocated to a Southwestern city for Mike to begin his practice. Linda then decided to volunteer which she enjoys to this day. She loves to cook, garden, and exercise. One of her favorite things is walking daily. She walks with her friends in the neighborhood. Her hobbies are reading and watching movies. She is blessed with loving parents and an older brother. She is Godmother to one of her 3 nieces and is very close to all of them. Linda’s family visits quite often and we go there for holidays and time off as well. Mike is an only child and his parents get to visit frequently, too. Mike loves watching and attending professional sporting events, playing golf, reading, computing, and spending time in the yard. Together Mike and Linda love to travel, watch Broadway-style shows, play card and board games, and visit with family and friends.

Linda talks about Mike: Mike is a caring, intelligent, and passionate person. He excels in everything he pursues. Since first meeting him I felt an immediate connection. I know he’ll make a wonderful parent due to his patient and calm nature. Our nieces call him “Uncle Mikey” and can’t wait for his joking nature when he’s around. He loves to spend quality family time with me every night after work. We love to talk about the day and may spend time playing games or e-mailing friends from all over the country together. Mike really enjoys watching sports and so do I. That’s probably one of the things we love to do the most together. We plan several trips per year to see our favorite professional teams play.

Mike talks about Linda: Linda is a fun-loving, joyful spirit. Her smile lights up every room she enters. She has a wonderful sense of humor and a caring heart. Children that she taught years before still contact her to this day. Some have even become teachers due to the impact she made on their lives. She loves to stay in shape with her daily exercise routine. She also does a wonderful job taking care of the household. I think she is a great cook, especially her baking. I love the fact that she enjoys my passion for sports. Due to her social nature, she has no trouble making friends everywhere she goes. Her nieces consider her a second parent. I have no doubt she will make a wonderful parent and will be able to provide your child as much love as she does to everyone else in her life.

We feel very proud of our new home and neighborhood. We live in a very safe area near a lake with geese and ducks. It is an ideal community for raising a family. We will do everything we can to provide a great home environment for your child. Just know that in our home your child will receive our unconditional love and our everlasting support. We welcome the chance to exchange letters and photos over the years as well. Should you select us you will always hold a special place in our hearts and souls.
