Keith & Lanna are hopeful adoptive parents from Kansas waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Our Letter to You... We want to sincerely thank you for reading our letter. Obviously, you love your baby very much as you have taken the courageous and selfless step of making an adoption plan. We respect and admire you for this act of love.

We are hoping and praying to complete our family with one last child. We have five boys already, so why choose us? We offer stability - Keith and I have been married for 19 years - we’ve been through many of life's ups and downs and have come out with a stronger and better relationship. We are experienced parents and love doing it! Most of all, we want you to understand why a big family is great. We both come from large families - Keith has five brothers and sisters, and I have seven.

Siblings are a built in cheering squad - your own special group of friends that share your dreams, your heartaches and your life. They build you up and cheer you on. With siblings you learn to share, be more compassionate and learn to love others in spite of differences. Our siblings are our friends - our best friends - and will be there throughout our lives. That is the blessing our children will have...the blessing your baby will be able to enjoy.
All About Us... We have always known we would adopt, so when we had problems conceiving and then couldn’t carry to full term, the decision for us to adopt had already been in our hearts for years. Two of our boys are adopted, but each of our boys have their own “miracle story” - their own special story of how they came into our family. Our adopted sons have the added ingredient of loving birthfamilies...this is a special part of who they are and something they feel proud about.

Our Home and Life...
Things that are important to us:
faith
love - family & friends
education
fun/making memories
good humor/laughing
stability

We have lived in the midwest for thirteen years and own a warm, traditional style home with a large fenced yard and play area. Our home is situated on a culdesac just off of a large neighborhood park that has walking paths, a small fishing lake, tennis courts, and a wonderful playground.

Most of our extended family live in Idaho & Montana, so that is where we spend our summer vacations. We spend part of our time in a cabin in Montana where we hike, swim and just enjoy being in the mountains and with family. We have made a great effort to create wonderful memories and loving relationships for our children.
What We Do For Fun... Most of the activities that Keith is involved in are also things he can do with our children. Bicycling on the many bike paths in our town and rock climbing are among his favorites. He’s also a volunteer scout leader and gets to have all sorts of adventures with the boys (canoeing, hiking, scuba lessons, etc). The latest project in our garage is rebuilding a dirtbike/motorcycle. They are learning how things work and having a great time watching it start to look like an actual bike to ride on. I have to admit that I learn alot from these projects also.

I love to read and do the artsy stuff. Libraries and bookstores are my favorite places. I am a curious person and enjoy trying new things with the boys - we’ve gone to stamp & coin shows and even started our own collections, gone to gem & mineral shows to learn about geology, and do all sorts of science experiments. We love nature hikes and trips to the zoo also. Drawing, scrapbooking, and cross-stitching are also things I enjoy doing when I get a chance.

All About Our Boys...

Our children share many similarities, but each has his own strengths and personality. We encourage each to develop the gifts that God has given them - those special things that make them who they are.

Dallin (17 years old) is our quiet and thoughtful one. He loves science, math, and computers. He just finished his first year of college and is doing well...he is trying to decide between Computer Science or Chemical Engineering. He is involved in Boy Scouts and even worked at camp for the last two summers.

Adam (15 years old) is our outgoing and funloving boy. He likes art, music, and riding motorcycles. He is quite good on the piano, but his passion is listening to music. Adam enjoys teaching our dog, Buddy, new tricks - thanks to him we have a well trained dog. He has even worked at the AKC dog show for several years. He will be attending an EMT program this fall so he can be certified by the time he graduates high school.

Zackary (11 years old) is a shy, kindhearted little boy. He loves art, reading, swimming and anything Star Wars. He and Ben both take piano lessons (and like to inform us that it was not their idea to sign them up!), but in their spare time love to create cities and vehicles with their Legos.

Ben (9 years old) is our funny boy that keeps us laughing. He's always putting on a show for us - he can stand on his hands and is working on learning to walk on them, and does the splits. Ben is fascinated by big machinery, trains, and tractors.

Jacob (8 years old) is our snuggly boy. He loves being with mom and being tickled. His favorite things to do are swimming lessons and playing games on the Nintendo ds.
In Closing/Thank You... We want to thank you again for taking the time to read a little about our lives. We hope you have a new appreciation for larger families - what we really want you to know is that your baby will have a special place in our family...he/she will complete it. Not our first child, but the baby in the family - a little one to be watched over and cherished by us and by adoring big brothers. We are anxious to welcome your sweet little one into our hearts and our lives.

With Warmest Regards...
Keith & Lanna
