Keith & Lanna are hopeful adoptive parents from Kansas waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Our Letter to You... We want to sincerely thank you for reading our letter. Obviously, you love your baby very much as you have taken the courageous and selfless step of making an adoption plan. We respect and admire you for this act of love. We pray that you find peace and comfort in whatever decision you make.

As you continue to read, we hope that you get a sense of who we are. If there is anything else you would like to know about us, please feel free to ask. We welcome any communication you feel comfortable with.

Our family has so much love to share. We have three boys living at home (ages 12, 10, and 9). We have two older boys that have moved on with school and work. We have felt for some time that there is one more little one meant for our family - to complete it. We want you to know how much your baby will be loved - adored by us and his/her big brothers (and grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins...)!
All About Us... Keith and I met at a church dance. He was standing against the wall looking all handsome...and bored. I had no plans on starting a relationship, but I had nothing against starting a conversation. It sounds silly, but shortly into the conversation I knew he was the one for me. I told myself that I wasn’t interested in anything serious, but the feeling was so strong that I asked him out! We had a lot of fun dating. We lived in Washington state at the time and enjoyed traveling all over the northwest. We went bicycling, hiking, and skiing. In fact, it was on a ski slope that Keith proposed to me. I was a new skier at the time, but he had this grand plan to take me to the top for a beautiful view to make it more romantic. I tease him that I said yes because I took one look down that huge mountain and knew I wouldn’t make it down on my own - my life was in his hands!

Keith and I have been married for twenty years. We’ve been through many of life’s ups and downs and have come out with a stronger and deeper love for one another. We enjoy spending time together, but also have our separate interests and encourage that in one another. We understand each other...we are best friends.

Keith is an engineer in the aerospace industry and I am a stay-at-home mom. We live in a four bedroom home that has a large fenced yard and play area that includes a trampoline. One of the reasons we chose the home we did is because it is just off of a large neighborhood park that has walking paths, a fishing pond, and a wonderful playground.

Family is so important to us. Most of our extended family live in Idaho & Montana, so that is where we spend our summer vacations. We spend part of our time in a cabin in Montana where we hike, swim and just enjoy being in the mountains and with family. We think it is important to create wonderful memories and loving relationships for our children. Our whole family is looking forward to spoiling a new little one.

We have always known we would adopt, so when we had problems conceiving and then couldn’t carry to full term, the decision for us to adopt had already been in our hearts for years. Two of our boys are adopted, but each of our children have their own “miracle story” - their own special story of how they came into our family. Our adopted sons have the added ingredient of loving birth families...this is a special part of who they are and something they feel proud about. We encourage each of our children to follow their dreams and explore the many opportunities life has. Each is so different in their talents and tastes and that’s okay - it makes the world a more beautiful place.
What We Do For Fun... Keith is a very involved dad - he’s an awesome dad! Most of the activities that Keith is involved in are also things he can do with our children. Bicycling on the many bike paths in our town and rock climbing are among his favorites. He’s also a volunteer scout leader and gets to have all sorts of adventures with the boys (canoeing, hiking, scuba lessons, etc). The latest project in our garage is rebuilding a dirt bike/motorcycle. They are learning how things work and having a great time watching it start to look like an actual bike to ride on.

I love to read and do the artsy stuff. Libraries and bookstores are my favorite places and passing on this love of reading is important to me. I am a curious person and enjoy trying new things with the boys - we’ve gone to stamp & coin shows and even started our own collections, gone to gem & mineral shows to learn about geology, and do all sorts of science experiments. We love nature hikes and trips to the zoo also. Drawing, scrapbooking, and cross-stitching are also things I enjoy doing when I get a chance.
In Closing/Thank You... We want to thank you again for taking the time to read a little about our lives and look forward to hearing from you. What we really want you to understand is that your child will have a special place in our family...he/she will complete it. Not our first child, but the baby in the family - a little one to be watched over and cherished by us and by adoring big brothers. We are anxious to welcome your sweet little one into our hearts and our lives.

With Warmest Regards...
Keith & Lanna
