Steven & Sally are hopeful adoptive parents from Arizona waiting to adopt a baby.

Dear Birthmother, Our names are Steven and Sally. We are really excited to tell you about who we are as a couple and a family, and also why we would love to adopt your precious little child!
We met 10 years ago through a mutual friend and have been married for eight years. Because we have such a strong marriage and believe in the importance of family, we wanted to include a child in our lives. Our 2& a ½ year old adopted son, Anthony has been with us since childbirth, and we really want him to have a little brother or sister! We believe an open adoption with you is the best way for us to add a baby to our family. We believe that honesty and openness is the healthiest way to raise an adopted child. An open adoption means that you choose the prospective adoptive parents, and stay in touch as the child grows. Together we decide what kind of contact we want to have. The most important thing to give our children is love, understanding and continual support!

All About our Family Our home resides in a safe community in Tucson, Arizona where many small children play outside and enjoy the park and school in the neighborhood. We are financially stable, and our home is very comfortable and unique. When our friends and family come to visit, they always remark about how our home has such a warm and cozy feeling. They also remark that our home is extremely kid-friendly, with puzzles, books and games in many rooms! Often, we have white paper taped to cover our living room table for coloring sessions! We like to decorate for many holidays, so there’s always the feeling that something fun is going on in our home!
We love to work on projects in and outside of our house! Steven loves to grow vegetables, and garden in the front and backyard of the house! He is a weather fanatic, and has taught Sally all about our summer monsoons. He talks to Anthony all about the moon and stars! Anthony can tell you the difference between a full moon and a crescent moon, and that the sun is a ball of gas and the moon is a ball of rock! Sally loves staying at home with Anthony, reading to him, teaching him to paint and draw, and learn bits of different cultures and languages! Both Steven and Sally taught Anthony sign language just for fun! At night, Sally likes to scrapbook, journal, listen to music and walk on the treadmill. As a family, we love playing sports in the backyard, coloring and playing children’s games, and eating dinner together every night.
Sally absolutely loved teaching Kindergarten for seven years, and before that, pre-school. She uses many of her teaching ideas on Anthony, and he has benefitted tremendously being the child of a loving, patient, warm-hearted teacher. Steven has a stable and well-providing job with an automotive repair company. He enjoys working hard and comes home with a feeling of satisfaction and self-worth. He cannot wait to come home each day to his family!
Sally is the youngest of seven children, so there are about a million nieces, nephews, cousins, and 17 grandchildren in the family to play with! Steven’s parents and sister also live in Tucson, and we like to go to museums, playgrounds and parks with them! We also spend a lot of time at each other’s homes.... just enjoying being a family. It is a good thing that both of us are so energetic, because we are always going to someone’s birthday party in the park, or swimming at some family member’s house. Our families are so excited for us to adopt another child, and are incredibly supportive. They know that the decision to adopt another child will only make our family happier and stronger. Anthony has loved babies since he’s been about one year old! He loves kids of all ages, and we know he will be thrilled to be a big brother to a sister or a brother!

He has the most incredible outlook on life and is always so positive about everything! He loves children and has lots of fun reading and playing sports with our son! He has taught Anthony so much about how things grow, what things need to survive, and about being good and strong and healthy! He has a very calming personality, and is so smart! He is my perfect match”

Sally and Anthony Steven Describes Sally: “Sally is the most incredible person I have ever met. She is very thoughtful with family, friends, and any new acquaintances. Through the many years of teaching, Sally holds a great sense of playfulness and understanding. She radiates love to anyone she touches. Sally has been the greatest mom a child could ask for. She has taught Anthony so much in the past couple of years. From sign language, the ABCs, counting to twenty, to our address, and so much more; she has taught Anthony everything you could imagine. He shows us so much love and thoughtfulness, which I attribute to Sally’s mothering skills!”
