Jeff & Anne are hopeful adoptive parents from Illinois waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Friends and Family
We are Anne and Jeff and want to thank you for reading this letter, which allows us to introduce our great family, made whole by the adoption of our son Jack. If you decide to place your baby through adoption, we hope you will feel comfortable in knowing we are the right family for your child.
We have a large group of friends, nearly all of which have children. In fact, on the day Jack came to our home, we were holding a baby shower for friends and quickly made it a party honoring Jack’s arrival as well. We have several friends and neighbors who have adopted multiple children, so adoption is already a significant part of our lives.
We have two full sets of grandparents, both of which have or will soon be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversaries. Anne’s parents live nearby and see us often. Jeff’s parents live in Arizona, but see us every few months. We all meet in Park City, UT for a week in the summer and in Hilton Head Island for Thanksgiving.
As you can see, friends and family are an integral part of all our lives and will be in the life of Jack’s new baby brother or sister.
Our Neighborhood
We live in a great neighborhood with plenty of children. Anne is the organizer of our annual block party, which attracted over (70) children last year (the bouncy castle and glow sticks helped). The annual neighborhood 4th of July parade comes directly down our street, and Jack will have a great time sharing the wagon ride.
The children will walk only one block to school and enjoy the friendship of many kids their age on our street and nearby. The neighborhood is centered on our Catholic church, of which we are active members.
Anne & Jeff
We met in 1991 and were married in 1993. We enjoyed a rich and adventurous life before our son’s arrival, having lived in Chicago, Dallas and London, England with Jeff’s career. We traveled often, including visits to many countries in Europe and Asia.
We are both animal lovers, and Lucy our dog has been a loyal companion for nearly twelve years. She quickly adapted to Jack and has become his guardian and “garbage disposal” at the same time. You can see her below with Anne exploring their heritage in Scotland.
We have friends for life from all the places we have lived and we hope to introduce our children to them and as much of the world as they desire.
Anne grew up in a small town in Illinois as an only child, and remains best friends with her parents today. During the summers of high school and college, she worked as a camp counselor at the local conservation district, where she lead ten or more kids through the adventures of the outdoors including fishing, tennis, golf and overnight camping. She attended an Illinois state university and graduated with a master’s degree in urban planning and historic preservation. For several years she worked as a village planner, and for a not for profit historic preservation agency, for whom she still volunteers. She is now a happy stay at home mom, and consumes her time with Jack, playing at Mom’s & Tots, Gymboree and other neighborhood events.
Jeff grew up in a small town in Iowa with one brother and one sister. His father was a civil engineer and his mother was a part time surgical nurse. Both he and his siblings attended Catholic elementary and high schools, where Jeff was valedictorian and student body President. He graduated in electrical engineering from a local Iowa university and later received an M.B.A in Chicago. He remains good friends with his high school and college classmates. Jeff also volunteers on an advisory council at a local after school program for underprivileged boys.
He works in the telecommunications industry in engineering, marketing, sales and general management functions. Most recently, he was the CEO of a telecom company for three years, which had operations and personnel around the world. Currently, he works as a consultant to telecom companies and works out of our home.
In Closing
We love and enjoy being parents, and are excited about the possibility to shape another young life. Jack is a happy and loving child, known to give spontaneous hugs to other children, including complete strangers.
Thank you very much for considering us and many heartfelt wishes. We would be happy to meet with you, and keep you in touch with the joy and happiness of our expanded family. If you have questions, call us at 1-800-541-5913.
