Mike & Amy are hopeful adoptive parents from Texas waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Hi! We are Mike and Amy, and we are honored that you are taking the time to get to know a little about us. We know we can’t fully relate to what you are going through, but we admire the courage, love and thoughtfulness you are putting into your decision. Please know that we are praying for wisdom and peace for you at this time. We hope this profile gives you a glimpse into who we are. Thanks for looking. . .
After both growing up in Texas, we met and fell in love while attending the University of Texas. Following graduate school for Mike and law school for Amy, we were married eight years ago. Throughout our marriage we have looked forward to having children. Infertility has only strengthened our desire to be parents, and we know in our hearts that adoption is the path God has for us.
Mike grew up in a quiet suburb with his parents Richard and Janetta and older brother Chris. He is now 35 and a Vice President and part-owner of an information security technology company.
About Mike (by Amy) . . .
Mike is warm, intelligent, athletic, creative and genuine, with a wonderful sense of humor that always puts others at ease. He is always making people laugh, whether it be making up silly lyrics to songs or doing impressions. He has a heart for children, and they love being around him. One of the many things that made me fall in love with him was knowing what a good father he would make someday. Mike has a broad range of talents, from sports, to music, to business. He plays the piano by ear and writes beautiful music. He has a strong faith in God that never waivers and has been a good spiritual role model for me, as I know he will be for his children. He is my best friend, a wonderful husband, and I know he will be a great dad.
Amy also grew up in a suburban neighborhood, with her parents Jon and Linnie and younger sister, Jennifer. She is now 33 and a partner in a major law firm, practicing corporate and securities law.
About Amy (by Mike) . . .
Amy is highly intelligent, soft spoken and warm. She has a big heart and strong character. She cherishes the idea of being a mother and I know she will be a wonderful one. I’m proud of what she has achieved throughout her life, but more importantly of the person she is. For as accomplished as she has been, she is very unassuming and humble. She is the perfect balance for me, as I am the dreamer and she provides the level headedness we need as a couple to make major decisions about our life together. Together we make a great team. She is loyal to her family and friends and doesn’t have a mean or vengeful bone in her body. She is a wonderful wife, and I can honestly say I wouldn’t change one thing about her.
Our families are very excited to welcome a new child into our lives. Most of our family lives in Texas, with several of our family members in our immediate area. When we adopt, our child will be the first grandchild on both sides of the family, and our parents can’t wait to have a grandchild to spoil! We are close with our extended family, as well. We enjoy getting together with grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles and cousins for holidays gatherings, vacations or fishing at Amy’s parent’s beach house.

The other treasured member of our family is our little dog Lucy. She is sweet and gentle, and has had lots of experience with children. The neighborhood children always come over to see if “Lucy can play”, and we often see her dressed in doll clothes, being wheeled down the street in a stroller. We often joke that she is the most popular “kid” in the neighborhood.
We own a four-bedroom, two-story home in a family-oriented community, with excellent schools, parks and recreation areas. While having the benefits of being part of a large metropolitan area, our community has much of the charm of a small town. We attend a nearby church with lots of young families. We have a large tree-filled yard and enjoy hosting backyard barbeques for friends and family, lounging on the hammock, or playing with our dog, Lucy. We can’t wait for our yard to be filled with toys, swings, and mostly, the sounds of children playing.

We enjoy spending time together waterskiing on a nearby lake, fishing at the coast, attending University of Texas football games, or simply hanging out with friends or just staying at home to watch a movie. We love to travel, with some of our recent trips including Hawaii, Mexico, Colorado, and the Virgin Islands as well as a planned trip later this year to a family wedding in England and then on to Paris. In addition, Mike’s interests include golf, tennis, and playing the piano and trumpet. Amy enjoys spending her free time decorating the house, shopping with her sister, or curling up with a good book. We look forward to sharing these activities with our children as well as supporting them in their own interests
We appreciate you taking the time to learn a little about us. If you choose us to be the parents for your child, we promise to provide your child with love, security, happiness, support and encouragement. Your child will always know about your unselfish love and sacrifice. We look forward to hearing from you.
With love,
Mike and Amy
