Gene & Sue are hopeful adoptive parents from Texas waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birth Mother, We are Gene and Sue, and we want to thank you for considering us to be your baby’s adoptive parents. The decisions you are making must be incredibly difficult, and we admire your courage and selflessness. Your giving heart is truly an inspiration because you are giving the most precious gift any two people could ever receive—the gift of life. If you choose us to be your baby’s adoptive parents, we will honor the trust you have placed in us, and we will fill your child’s life with love and opportunity.

Our story began over six years ago. Our first date was at the lake. We swam, water skied, played badminton, and cruised around in the boat just talking and talking. We realized that first date that we have a special connection, and we have been together ever since. Almost four years ago, we married, and we continue to build a happy life together. We would love to share our happy life with a beautiful baby.

We have a lot in common and truly enjoy each other’s company. We both love the outdoors and exercise, kicking back with a good movie and fresh popped popcorn, or just reading a book or magazine quietly side by side. We value family and friends and loyalty, and we believe in a higher power. We know that God is guiding all of us in this adoption process, and He has a plan and a purpose for everything.
Gene talking about Sue: “I can’t wait for Sue to have a child of her own. I know she will be an incredible mother for the same reasons I fell in love with her. She is very caring and has a lot of love to give. She is also one of the most talented women I’ve ever met. She plays the piano, has a beautiful singing voice, and loves the outdoors as much as I do. On top of that, she is also very intellectual and loves to read and teach. She has made me a better, more well-rounded person.”

Sue is a community college professor. Sue says, “I love teaching because I enjoy helping young people identify talents and abilities, articulate goals, and realize their dreams step by step. Each semester, I have the opportunity to praise all my students and encourage them to believe in themselves. In addition, I love my incredibly flexible schedule. I can work half days or only three days a week. I can take the entire summer off, and I have a long winter vacation. I have the perfect career for raising a family.”
Sue talking about Gene: “I fell in love with Gene because he’s a really nice guy. He never has a bad word to say about anyone and his positive attitude is contagious. He enjoys life and is an adventurous soul. He has traveled all over the world, first in the military and then as a commercial pilot, and loves meeting new people. His mother says he has never met a stranger. But most of all, I fell in love with Gene because he just makes me happy.”

Some of Gene’s hobbies are lifting weights, riding bikes, working on cars, and using his hands to build things. He is a Captain for a major airline, and because of his career, we fly for free wherever the airline flies. It’s a great perk because we love to travel. Gene loves to ski, so every winter, we travel to the mountains. Sometimes we meet Sue’s dad on the slopes because he loves skiing, too!

Austin & Kendall
Gene has two children, and he is an awesome Dad. Austin is almost 15, and Kendall is almost 9. Austin’s birth father died when he was an infant, and Gene has raised Austin since he was a toddler and loves him as his own. Austin enjoys biking, baseball and his Xbox. Kendall enjoys coloring, playing with her Barbies, picking flowers, and playing tennis. Although Austin and Kendall don’t live with us, we see them regularly and make the most of our family time together. We play board games like Sorry, Life, and Monopoly, and we take family bike rides, hike, walk the dogs and go camping and boating. Both Austin & Kendall are very excited about having a new baby brother or sister.
Thank you for taking the time to look over our profile. We hope you can see that we are very happy together and we want to share that happiness with your child. We want to give your child so much: unconditional love, time and attention, fun and laughter, a first-rate education, and a home in which to grow strong and confident. Your child will know how brave you are and how much you love him or her. May God go with you as you make your decisions and as you pursue your dreams.
