Bobby & Linda are hopeful adoptive parents from North Carolina waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birthmother,
Thank you for considering us as adoptive parents for your child. You must be such an incredibly courageous woman to make such an important decision. We can't imagine what it would be like to make an adoption plan for a child, but we do know what it is like to adopt a child and dedicate our lives to giving a child a loving home. We were graced with the adoption of our first daughter, Lydia Marie in 2003. She would be such a great big sister! We pray for the day our family can grow with the miracle of another child.
We hope to give you a glimpse into our family so that you might consider our home the right place for your child. We would be ultimately grateful to you and very honored to give your child a forever home with lots of love and opportunities.
Our Family
Bobby and Linda
We are a happy family that cherishes every moment we have to love and laugh together. We met during our last year of high school and have been best friends ever since. After high school we went to separate colleges; however it didn't take long for Bobby to transfer to Linda's college so we could be together. We got married after college and still consider ourselves high-school sweethearts. We love spending time together and taking trips to the mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway, along with visiting Bobby's parents at the beach. Family is the most important thing in our lives. Both of us come from strong and loving families that are very close knit.
Bobby talks about Linda
Linda is an enthusiastic person who likes to laugh a lot. It was love at first sight for me and she is still the love of my life. She has lots of friends and is a joy to be around. She is also a very talented pianist and I love to hear her play. What she loves the most is being a Mommy and could spend every waking moment with our daughter. They crack me up laughing, playing and reading books. Linda is really great at encouraging Lydia and she knows just the right thing to say when Lydia needs her. Linda is also very kind and patient.
Linda talks about Bobby
Bobby has a heart of gold. Everyone who meets Bobby instantly likes him. He is such a good listener and is the kindest person I have ever met. He is so generous and always willing to help anyone in need. He takes such great care of his parents and when he gets together with his three brothers, they have such a great time as a family. What I love to see most is how Lydia loves her Daddy. She is always saying, "Put me on your head Daddy." They have such a great time playing together, especially at the playground.
Lydia Marie
We are so blessed with the incredible gift of Lydia coming into our lives through adoption. We first met Lydia in Russia in December 2002 when she was 5 months old and returned in January, 2003 to pick her up from her orphanage and bring her home to North Carolina. She traveled 12 hours on a train and 15 hours on planes to journey to her new home. She is an energetic and very athletic and loves to ride her bike and play outside with all of her friends in the neighborhood. She is so funny and makes us laugh all the time. She simply loves animals, especially her two Maltese puppy dogs and goldfish Hurricane and Tarheel, and one of her favorite places to visit is the zoo. Lydia has lots of cousins and an extended family that absolutely adore her. She likes to help Mommy cook and bake chocolate chip cookies! She is great at puzzles and loves to play computer games. She also has more stuffed animals than you can imagine.
The only thing we know about Lydia's birthparents is that her father passed away one month before she was born and her mother was 27 when Lydia was born. Since this was a closed adoption, it is most likely that Lydia will know very little about her birthparents. We have chosen a domestic adoption this time in hopes that our next adopted child will have the opportunity to know more about their birthmother and birthfather and their families.
Our Home and Families
We live in Durham, North Carolina in a family oriented neighborhood. It is full of families with kids and backyards with swing sets. You can look out the window and see kids riding bikes and new parents out strolling with their babies. It is the kind of neighborhood where you can go next door to borrow a cup of sugar to finish a recipe.
Our home is very nice with plenty of room for Lydia and her new baby brother or sister to each have their own special room. Our backyard is fenced in and has a slide, swing set, playhouse and picnic table just right for kids. We also have two cutie-pie puppy dogs that are very child friendly.
We love to take walks, ride bikes and visit the neighborhood playground. Music is a big part of our lives with Linda working for a symphony orchestra and Bobby managing a music store. We have a beautiful grand piano which Linda and Lydia play and Lydia already has her first violin. Our extended family includes six uncles, five aunts and seven cousins. We have supportive parents who just love being grandparents and spoiling their grandchildren. We have lots of family gatherings during the holiday and throughout the year. Our church is also very important to us and we are dedicated to bringing up our child in a Christian home. We are grateful for the blessings in our lives and feel blessed to have you reading this letter right now
We are so Thankful....
