Brian & Kimberlyprofile id #20820
Brian & Kimberly are hopeful adoptive parents from Connecticut waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birth Mother:
We hope this finds you well. We are Brian, Kimberly, and Ben. We are completely thrilled that our paths have crossed and that you are reading this!
We believe all children are magical miracles, truly blessings in this world. We have always wanted children… biological or adopted. We now know that adoption was God’s plan for us.
We are quite certain that after you have read a few of these profiles, your eyes must start to cross and they must all start to sound the same…but we honestly say with all our heart that, we truly can relate to what you are going through and we thank you for reading on…
Over two and a half years ago, we became the adoptive, proud, and grateful parents of a beautiful little boy named Ben. During the adoption process we saw first hand what a challenging time in your life this is. When Ben was born the love his Birth Mother had for him was so very evident and we shared in her joy at his birth and in her sadness at placement. Our hearts are very in tune with what you are feeling. Our admiration for you comes with the prior knowledge that carrying out your birth plan is an act of pure love, courage, trust, extreme strength, and faith.
We are an extremely devoted family with an abundance of love to give. Please know that your child will be cherished, and showered with love, affection, and respect in our happy home.
In a nutshell, here is our story…We have been married for 15 years. We met the first day of college and quickly became great friends. We were friends for years… and then one day when the planets aligned or something and we decided to go on a “real date”....it was like wildfire….dating, engaged, married… BOOM! We believe our deep friendship gave us the rock solid foundation which we have built our lives upon. Together, we walk through life with similar views, a healthy curiosity, good humor, open hearts, and minds.
Our home is located on a beautiful five acre orchard with stone walls, apple trees, grape vines, and plenty of room to play! Our 7 year old niece even performed an “Extreme Home Makeover” on one of our out buildings, turning it into the “clubhouse”… Our town is noted for its fine schools and true New England atmosphere. Our town is very close to what we consider the greatest city in the world and there, we maintain a loft. Our neighborhood in the city is full of boutiques and art galleries and our city home is warm and inviting (it has been featured on CNN as well as HGTV). It is fun to be able to spend an occasional weekend there exploring the city.
Wherever we go, Emma, our very loveable fourteen year old, chunky, Chocolate Labrador is with us…She is absolutely adorable and an ever present family member who thoroughly enjoys the best of both worlds. She and Ben have become great friends. In fact, Emma traveled 900 miles with us when Ben was born .... Ben’s second word was “Emma”.
We are both very close to our families who live nearby. Kimberly’s family all live on adjoining properties. On any given weekend, it is not unusual to find 20 family members barbecuing in the yard. Brian’s family (he has 3 brothers and a sister) lives only a couple of miles from our home. Because everyone lives so near, it gives us all the opportunity to get together often.
Our family beach house is just a few miles from our home. In the summer, we spend time there as well as our farm in upstate New York. At the beach ( all of the cousins play together- 22 kids 11 years to 6 months old!!!) we water ski, sail, and enjoy Sunday night barbeques. At the farm, we love to ride horses, fly fish, kayak, enjoy bonfires, and soak in the amazing backdrop of the Catskill Mountain range. Winter time often brings us to our family home in Vermont. The kids have a built in cheering section at ski lessons…we all stand on the sidelines and root them on as they each learn to ski!
Kimberly on Brian:
Brian is a sweet and loving Dad with a generous, caring, peaceful, and adventurous spirit. To be honest, to me, he is sort of magical…the kind of person who always makes things better just by being present.
Brian has this innate ability to relate to kids (we have discussed this and think it could just be that he is a big kid…). He has a huge amount of love to give and he and Ben are pals! I often find them giggling together, reading, talking, and chasing each other around the yard. Brian is a very nurturing father who showers Ben with love.
He is instantly likeable and his affable, laid back, and caring demeanor is easily recognizable as genuine. Brian is very close to his family, in fact, he was honored four years ago when his brother named his son Brian after him.
Brian is a total participant in life. He loves fishing (he and his father and brothers go on a yearly deep sea adventure to destinations that have included Costa Rica, Alaska, and the coast of North Africa), golfing, skiing (and recently snowboarding!!!), basketball games in the park, biking, oil painting, and walks on the beach with Ben and Emma and I.
Brian is beloved of many friends. He is interested in all kinds of people, in everyone’s story… He is a gentle and loving father, great listener, rational problem solver, solid friend, highly entertaining sidekick, successful and respected entrepreneur (he founded an investment banking company), great chef, and a very solid human being.
Brian on Kimberly:
I always knew Kimberly would be an amazing Mom. She has always given her love unconditionally to everyone in her life…to me, nieces, nephews, friends, family, our dog, even to strangers whose path she has crossed.
When Ben arrived, the intensity of her love moved me. She is a deeply caring, affectionate, patient, loving, responsive and fun Mom! Ben lights up the second he sees her. They have a deep connection with each other not to mention the fact that they get a huge kick out of each other, and always seem to be having (or planning) some sort of adventure.
Kimberly is also the pied piper to all the kids in our family. She loves to talk with them about life and she likes to listen to their views on things. With her, no idea they might have is too extreme and all things are possible. Once, I found her digging up night crawlers in the middle of a formal party at our 6 year old niece’s request. When she is around they are always right by her side.
Beyond all of this, Kimberly is a warm, personable, intelligent, generous, interesting, and totally engaging person…the light everyone is attracted to. She is disarmingly funny and prone to infectious laughing fits that often cause everyone else in the room to laugh with her. She has a circle of lifelong friends who value their friendships…they can finish each others sentences.
Her interests and hobbies are wide ranging. She likes playing guitar, running, swimming, yoga, oil painting, photography, movie watching and we both consider her a professional shopper!
Kimberly comes by her creative profession naturally, she is a Furniture Designer. Her designs are sold at stores throughout the country. Both she and her designs have been featured in magazines and used on television and movie sets. Although she is quite accomplished in her field, when Ben arrived, she decided to become a stay at home Mom and she is loving it!
Ben:
Our sweet Ben has been a true miracle in our lives. He brings us joy that we both never would have experienced were it not for his loving Birth Parents and their courage to make and follow an adoption plan. He is a gift . . . happy, healthy, full of love, and thriving! We can’t imagine life without him and we know he is here because he was meant to be here.
We are constantly telling Ben that his new baby sister or brother is coming soon! He is always looking around and asking us, “Where is my baby?” He completely beams at the sight of all babies now and he is as excited as we are to welcome a new baby into our family! We feel very blessed because we now know through experience how truly miraculous adoption really is.

We would like you to know how truly grateful we are to you for considering us. A dear friend once mentioned possessing the “attitude of gratitude” and that is completely what we feel. If there is any peace for you to find at this time, we hope it will be in knowing we are truly committed to giving your child the very best life we possibly can . . . one filled with love, family, stability, opportunity, education, and adventure. We promise to nurture your child through life and to help her . . . or him . . . grow to be whoever and whatever he or she wants to be.
Through your consideration of us, we feel like our prayers have been answered, so from the bottom of our hearts . . . we thank you and send you love.
