Micah & Coralee are hopeful adoptive parents from Idaho waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

dear birthparent, Thank you for taking time to learn more about our family! We would like to begin by telling you just how much our hearts go out to you as you embark on some of the hardest decisions you will make in your life. We stand behind you and respect you in these decisions. We pray that your Heavenly Father may be with you to guide you and strengthen you throughout this difficult time in your life.

Adoption is something that we have thought about throughout our marriage. We believe that adoption brings wonderful blessings into the lives of all who are involved. Early in our marriage we realized that it was going to be difficult for Cori to have children. Our daughter, Aria, was truly a miracle—even the doctor couldn't explain it. We are hoping to add another miracle to our family, but this time through adoption. Aria is always asking us when she will have a little brother or sister. We have told her of our plans to adopt and she makes it a point to pray every night that it will happen soon!
now a little about us… We met on a blind date when Cori was home from college for the summer. After dating and getting to know one other (often while living in two different states!) we were married in the Boise, ID LDS temple. We moved to Utah so that Cori could complete her last year of college. Once she finished school we moved closer to Micah’s college and Cori began teaching elementary school while Micah worked on finishing his degree.

micah
Micah is friendly and easy going. He likes to have fun with his family and always makes sure they are taken care of. Micah comes from a family of eight children. In high school, Micah spent most of his time in the music department. He played the clarinet and the drums in the marching band, concert band, and jazz bands. He joined the National Guard before he was even out of high school. He was eager to join because he had found the best job in all of the military; he is a percussionist in the 25th Army Band! He gets to play the drums for the National Guard and loves every minute of it! He served a two-year mission for our church in the Anchorage, Alaska mission. He went to college at Boise State University where he studied Music Education for two years and then switched to computers. He graduated in August of 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems. Micah now works as the Webmaster for the headquarters of the Idaho Army National Guard. He builds and updates web pages for the various units and activities in the Guard. He plays the drums for a small jazz band, and enjoys playing with the Army Band at many events. Micah likes music, computers, cooking (especially outdoors with Dutch ovens and on the barbecue), and doing fun things with Cori and Aria.

cori
Cori has a quiet and caring personality. She loves her family very much and likes spending time with them. She enjoys children, and values the time she can spend playing with and teaching Aria and many other children. Cori grew up in a family of three children, which later became four when her parents adopted her sister! In high school Cori played tennis, sang with and played the piano for the Madrigal Honor Choir, worked as a Cadet Teacher, and was involved in many activities and clubs. She graduated from Brigham Young University in April of 2000 with degrees in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. After graduating she began working as a school teacher. She has taught 3rd Grade, Kindergarten, and Music, along with various ages of summer school students. Cori has now chosen to take some time off from teaching to be a stay-at-home mom, but she continues to be a part of the schools by volunteering in Aria’s classroom. Her experience as a teacher has helped her to be a better mother and to better understand how to help her own children to learn and grow. Cori enjoys playing the piano, reading books, working on the computer, and sewing.

aria
Aria is an active and fun-loving five-year-old. She just started Kindergarten, and she loves being able to go to school! She dances with the Tiernan Irish Dancers and has a lot of fun dressing up and curling her hair for performances. Aria enjoys playing the piano, riding her bike, swimming, reading books, and learning about anything she can, especially dinosaurs. She tells everyone that she is a dinosaur expert! She is excited to have a baby brother or sister and can’t wait to be a big sister!
family and fun… We are a happy and loving family of three. We enjoy many things as a family. We all share a great love of music, and we are always listening to or playing music in our home. Cori plays the piano, and we often gather around the piano to listen or sing. Micah has many performances with the 25th Army Band and the jazz band, and Cori and Aria love to go to his performances. We also enjoy watching movies, reading, playing games going on outings, barbecuing, camping, and hiking as a family.

We have the blessing of living near both of our families, and Aria loves to spend time with her grandparents. Cori’s parents adopted a beautiful little girl, MeiLi, a few years ago who is the same age as Aria. The two little girls are inseparable and they truly believe that they were meant to be twins. We have seen how the adoption of MeiLi has blessed her and blessed our family, and we are excited to see that miracle happen again for us.
to conclude… We hope as you learn about our family you can gain an understanding of the love we have to offer for you and your child. We want you to remember that you are a special and loved spirit of our Heavenly Father, and He wants the best for you and for your child. May the Lord bless you and comfort you as you make these important decisions.

Love,
Micah, Cori, and Aria
