Marty & Jenny are hopeful adoptive parents from Illinois waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birthmother, First, we would like to say how honored we are that you are considering us as the parents for your baby. We believe it takes a very loving, unselfish person to put her baby’s needs above all else. As you explore the many choices ahead, we hope you will think of us and the kind of life we would give this child. We hope to earn your trust that we would raise this child as we were raised -- with unconditional love and respect. We promise to do all we can to make this time easier for you.

Our names are Jenny and Marty and truly there isn’t anything else in the world we wanted more then to be parents. Although it is impossible to tell you everything about us, or show you all the love we share, we do hope this letter gives you a glimpse into our lives together.

We have been married for 13 years and our marriage is truly amazing…filled with love, laughter, friendship and affection. Throughout the years, we have traveled from the Caribbean to Hawaii, and participated in lots of fun sports including snorkeling, bike riding and sailing. We are a sensitive, caring and respectful couple with strong morals instilled by our parents.

We had tried to conceive a child for years and throughout it all our relationship grew stronger, as did our commitment to becoming parents.
Our Daughter Maria In February 2006 we adopted our daughter Maria. Our experience was truly amazing. We met Maria’s birthmother seven weeks before she was born. We were at the hospital when Maria was born. We feel blessed to have met Maria’s beautiful and brave birthmother. She shared many stories with us to pass on to Maria as she grows up.

Our dream is for Maria to have a brother or sister so she can experience the joys of having a sibling growing up. Maria is a very happy, loving and friendly little girl. Her smile is contagious and she will blow kisses to anyone who smiles back at her! Maria loves to play with other children and especially babies! Maria has a baby doll named Gigi and when she eats, Gigi gets her bottle and when she's playing she makes sure Gigi is nearby. Gigi is also Maria's favorite dancing buddy!

Maria is Mommy's little helper around the house, she loves to help clean up and she makes a great salad for dinner!

Our 4th bedroom is ready for Maria's brother or sister once we are blessed again through the miracle of adoption. Maria will regularly wake up in the morning and go into the bedroom and look to see if God brought her a brother or sister yet. She can't wait to be a big sister!
Raising Children We believe a solid foundation builds strong self-confidence. Just like our own upbringing, our role as parents is to help our children build a strong foundation upon which they can develop his or her own unique personality and talents. We strive to instill a love of learning, faith and respect for others in our daughter Maria and would do the same with our second child.

We are dedicated to helping our children get an excellent education, become self-confident, and pursue their own unique passions and interests.

Please also know that this child will always know the unselfish and loving plan you made for them and how forever grateful we are to you to have them as a part of our family.
Our Family and Community A devotion to family is the centerpiece of our lives. We consider ourselves fortunate to come from families that love and support us in every facet of our lives. From this background, we formed our vision of what our family is today.

We love dogs and will let our children pick a puppy to grow-up with and learn all the responsibilities that go along with taking care of a pet.

Having both grown up in a loving family with brothers and lots of cousins we’ve learned about having fun times and family commitment. Our Moms gave us the best example of motherhood. They cooked homemade dinners each night, read to us, played games with us and gave us lots of hugs and kisses! Our Dads are both very loyal and dedicated husbands whom we always went to for advice.

We spend time frequently with our nieces and nephews ranging from ages 9 to 17. They love their little cousin Maria and play with her often. We attend their sports events from hockey and ice skating to baseball. We have attended all the major events in their lives, from Baptisms, 1st Communions, Confirmations and Graduations and championship games. They stay overnight in our home several times a year, in the summer months we swim in our pool and go miniature golfing and in the winter months we go to GameWorks and the movies.

Jenny loves to swim, work in the garden, cook and entertain – the more people she can cook for the better. Jenny has 2 older brothers and is very family-oriented; her parents and most of her relatives live within a half hour of our home. Some of Jenny’s fondest childhood memories are participating in Brownies and Girl Scout activities and going to her aunt/uncle’s summer home on Wonder Lake. We would go with all our cousins once a month and stay for a long weekend at their summer home. We would play horseshoes, bocce ball, ride bikes, swim in the lake and fish. Imagine 20 kids/adults sleeping in 3 bedrooms – we had a blast!

Marty loves to read and go to the movies. He’s unbeatable at Trivia Pursuit! He’s also Mr. Fix-it and loves to be outdoors. Marty has 1 older brother and has over 30 first cousins and most of his family lives within a half hour of our home.

Some of Marty’s fondest childhood memories are playing football and spending time with family almost every night of the week! Since Marty came from such a big family and his grandparents lived with them – someone was over visiting every night - what a blast!

We were raised in Catholic families. We went to Catholic grammar and high schools and Marty served as an altar boy. It is very important to us for our children to be brought up the same way. We will give your child loving parents; a sister and a happy, healthy and secure environment and a bright future filled with promise and lots of love.

In addition to unconditional love, one of the greatest gifts you can give a child is your undivided attention and time. We spend as much time as possible with our daughter Maria, from tickle time to playing ball and bedtime stories - we treasure every moment!

While we feel fortunate in life, we remain modest and are continually striving to become better people. We are down-to-earth and enjoy the simplest things…just enjoying each other’s company and that of our family and friends.

We live in a community that is very family oriented and provides many opportunities for children to excel. Our neighborhood is very family friendly, with young families, as well as grandparents. You will always see people in the neighborhood riding bikes, walking dogs, and pushing strollers. Our neighborhood also celebrates holidays, like Easter and Fourth of July, with children’s parades and carnival activities. The grade school is close by and provides many opportunities for parents to be actively involved in a child’s education.

Our Friends

We have a large, close circle of friends, more like extended family really, most of who have babies, young children and pets. Most of our friends we grew up with since grammar school and high school – we’ve all known each other for over 20 years! We have a great time when we get together and especially reminisce about our childhood. We get together with them often for birthdays, holidays, and for no special reason. The women started a Bunco group and we play every month – what a hoot!

Working

Jenny has worked for a software company in their education services division for 12 years. Marty has worked for a major airline for the past 21 years. Jenny works for a family oriented company and works from her home office and Marty works an afternoon shift, so we are able to care for our children in our home because of the flexibility we both have in our schedules.

Life has a way of placing challenges and opportunities in our path. We are both facing challenges in our life now--- you with a difficult choice for your child and us with trying to grow our family. Together we have the opportunity of realizing dreams--- your dream for this child to have a lifetime of love and happiness and our dream of having 2 children to share our life and love.
