Gerry & Jennifer are hopeful adoptive parents from Texas waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birthmother, Gerry and I are very grateful that you have taken the time to learn about us. The fact that you are making the choice to put your child’s needs above all others is an extremely brave and selfless act, one that we will never be able to comprehend nor be able to give enough thanks to you for your generosity. We would be honored if you would take a few more minutes to walk through our life together.
Our journey together... We met in 1999 at our place of business. We started off as friends but our relationship grew into a great love for each other. We were married in November of 2001 in Nashville, TN surrounded by friends and family that came from all over the country. We have been so blessed in our lives with great jobs, a wonderful home, and extremely supportive families and friends. Without the love and support of all of our family and friends, this journey that we have been through would have been a lot more difficult.

We currently live in Texas just outside of a large metropolitan city. We bought a nice house in a quiet neighborhood shortly after moving here 6 years ago. We reside with our dogs, Manny and Kasey, and our cats, Milo and Abigail. They all have a wonderful lives here seeing how they are fed well, loved dearly, a well taken care of. We love our furry, little family but wish so much to hear laughter fill our home.

We started our attempts at conceiving a child shortly after we got married. After five long, hard years of dealing with doctors and hospitals, we decided that it was time to find a better way to start a family. We had discussed adoption several times and then it just felt right. This is path that was meant for us and we couldn’t be happier. In late 2006, we began all of our paperwork for an International Adoption from China. In April 2007, all of our paperwork was received by China and now we are waiting to hear from them. The time frame is unknown at this point but we are eager and anxious for that arrival of, what is presumed to be, a little girl. Later, in August, we decided that since we would like to have at least two children in our family, we would begin our newest journey, a domestic adoption, and that has led us here to you and we are very excited to be here. I have always known in my heart that I wanted to be a mother. The thought of a big career was not in me because I have always felt that God had different plans for me. I now know that He has sent us down this path to meet the child that was destend to be ours. I am extremely grateful for all of the blessings that we have been given and even the things that we were not. I know that it wasn’t meant for us to create a child because God has his plan and He has led us to you.

About our families... Our families, unfortunately, live in other states from us but we are planning a move sometime soon and hopefully that will bring us closer to them. After all of the support that have given, we want to make sure that they are able to enjoy this blessing that has been brought to us.

I, Jennifer, have two brothers, one older, one younger. My older brother has two daughters and resides in Tennessee, while my younger brother has one son and a daughter on the way and he resides in Florida. Lucky for younger brother, my mother lives a few miles away, which allows her to be able to help him as needed and spend time with them all. My father and his wife reside in Missouri and are enjoying life on their large piece of property while renovating their 1960’s home. Gerry has an older sister who is a mother of four, three boys and one girl, and she resides in Florida while his parents reside in Illinois, along with some other extended family members. We travel to see them all as often as possible and miss them when we are not together. We both have wonderful relationships with each other’s families and we all get along extremely well. We are definitely blessed!!

We wanted to thank you for taking the time to learn about our families and us. We can not imagine the thoughts and feelings that are going through your heart and head but we do want you to know that we are grateful for the opportunity that you have given us just by reading this letter. We would love the opportunity to get to know you and for you to be able to get to know us better. Whether or not you choose us to parent your child, we wish you and your baby health and happiness.
