We have been married 12 years now, and we are very much in love!

Xochithl
We met when James was teaching our Sunday school class- I sat in the back row and admired him, as did most other girls in our student church group. To sum it up- he noticed me as well, and we have been married for twelve years now.

James
That is almost right,I noticed her my first Sunday back from my LDS mission-I had just returned from serving two years in Oakland, California in the Vietnamese speaking mission. I had become very accustomed to darker skin tones and hair. Upon returning home to Idaho, I noticed a lot of blond haired blue eyed people. Xochithl(Sochie) did not fit that mold, so she really stood out to me. One date and I was hooked.

Xochithl
James is extremely intelligent. More importantly, he is a really super dad. I have witnessed this first hand, because we get to parent AJ- 11, Savannah - 9, and Isaac - 6. They have been, and are a joy to us.
James
Xochithl is a wonderful women, wife, and mother. I am always amazed at her ability to love all people.
Each of our children are very unique and so fun to parent. We are all anticipating our family growing through the blessing of adoption.

Why Adopt When We Already Have Three Children? When someone asked us this question recently we knew the answer.
WE LOVE THEM
We enjoy them so much, we can hardly wait to have a fourth child join our family! We feel so blessed to be parents. We know our family is not complete.

We both grew up in fairly large families. James has five sisters and one brother, and Xochithl has three sisters and two brothers. We find many advantages to larger families and crave that for our family. Fond memories of family life as children, urge us to replicate the positive experiences in our home.

James
A few of my favorite memories are the countless hours spent preparing for and building the family cabin, and most especially the regular outings to fish and hunt with my dad and brother. We take those trips still, we just invite the next generation as well.

Xochithl
My favorite memories include always having someone to play with or work with. HUGE family parties with live music, dancing, and of course traditional Mexican cooking. Digging for sand crabs, and playing at the beach was also a treat living near the ocean.
We spend our time as a family playing, working, and relaxing. Grandpa and Grandma's Cabin on the Lake is one of our favorite spots. We also enjoy staying close to home with movie/game nights,biking,gardening,bowling,or just taking a walk around the neighborhood.

Parenting and Professions Xochithl
I am spoiled, and stay home full time with our children. James and I decided on this plan even before we married. We believe that having a mom home with the children is so crucial. This is my favorite job ever. I enjoy the everyday activities of fixing hair, washing faces, reading the same stories over and over, and teaching new ideas/concepts.

James
This is something she does better than anyone else I know.

Xochithl
The sparkle in the eyes of our children as they smile is the best paycheck a parent can have. I enjoy many different activities most of which center around children these days. I currently help in the Primary(our church's children's organization) - which means I get to associate with even more children. I really enjoy volunteering in our kids classrooms. Our home is open to all the neighborhood children and is often the after school play house.

James
I work in the field of computers. I studied this in college and enjoy applying what I have learned. The technology field is ever changing so I hope to keep myself on the cutting edge by acquiring more education as time allows. I am currently working towards my Masters Degree part time.

Xochithl
James has an amazing sense of balance. He is an extremely hard worker. We all benefit because he effectively gets what he needs done at work and comes home to play or work with us.

James
Working close to our home I can attend school programs and sit among the proud parents at recitals and sports events. AJ started tackle football this year and every game was so fun to watch. I also enjoy coming home for lunch almost every day.

Our Heart Goes Out To You and Yours As you face this heart wrenching decision – we hope you will experience some comfort knowing this family includes you in daily thoughts and prayers. We know you will find the family you desire for your little one.

Any child who enters our home is cherished.

As much as we anticipate having a new family member, we are equally excited to meet you. We think of the challenges you are experiencing and are sure that they are among the toughest a person can face. The thought of this really humbles us.
