Kyle & Hilary are hopeful adoptive parents from South Carolina waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Welcome Thank you for giving us the opportunity to introduce our family to you. We know the decisions you are now making are hard and important, but choosing to give your baby the gift of life is already a great act of love. Be assured that this child will know the love that you have for them.

We met in the Singles Department at our local church and dated for a little over a year before getting engaged. Our first date was low key - a nice dinner and then a walk at a local park where we just strolled, talked and got to know each other better. We were married on July 17, 1999. Our first years of marriage included taking a cruise, playing sports, taking long walks and going on lots of small excursions to the beach or amusement parks. Our son Brandon was born September 4, 2003 and we love showing and teaching him all there is to enjoy in life. We are looking forward to welcoming another child into our family to share our life with.

Our family is strongly rooted in the church. Kyle teaches Sunday School and sings in the choir. Hilary serves in the class helping with hospitality and often volunteers in the nursery.

We both realize the blessings siblings can bring. Kyle, unlike Hilary, grew up as an only child. From the beginning of our marriage, we had always planned on having two children, but when we found out Hilary was unable to carry another child, our thoughts immediately turned to adoption. We have already learned and experienced much about what it means to be parents through our first child and are looking forward to parenting another. In addition, through the death of Kyle's mother and his father's remarriage, learned that a family isn't just blood relatives, but anyone with which you choose to invest your heart.

Both of our extended families are very excited about our plans to adopt.
A Day in the Life! We would like to share what a typical day is like for Brandon because this is a good example of what you can expect your child to be exposed to as they grow up!

From the very beginning, Brandon had an environment based around structure and spontaneity. Hilary is a stay at home mom so this allows for going to lots of different places as the mood hits! Brandon took naps and had meals at specific times of the day and knew what was coming in this regard. However, the activities of the day could be anything from going to the park or zoo with his friends, going to the puppet playhouse, having story time at the library, running around an indoor play center or going to visit Nanny and Papa a short 45 minutes away.

When Kyle comes home from work, we sit down to eat dinner as a family. Then, he gets to add his flavor to the activities. This could be anything from educational games (to learn things like the alphabet) to running around the house and making forts out of pillows and sheets!

On Sundays, we go to church, where Brandon is in a Sunday School class with other kids his age. Our church has wonderful workers that really care for the kids. This year, Brandon's teacher took a picture of him and mounted in on a frame with his hand outlines and Brandon gave it to us for Christmas!

On Mondays and Tuesdays Brandon currently goes to morning preschool and he loves his teachers and the class very much. The remainder of the week is spent doing much of the same activites stated above.

We believe in exposing children to a variety of experiences including music, art, games, food, sports and friends. Brandon loves to sing and is starting to swing a mean tennis racquet.
Our House and Neighborhood We live in a large neighborhood filled with families. Our house has 3 bedrooms, a den, eat-in kitchen, dining room and a very large playroom. Our backyard is completely fenced in and has a little garden area and a big swing set. Our deck area has plenty of space for an outdoor meal and room to ride a tricycle or wagon.

We both enjoy a wide variety of hobbies. Hilary loves to cook and plant a small vegetable garden every year. Each year she tries out different plants. She is also growing blueberries and a small patio lemon tree. Kyle loves sports and boardgames (a collection of close to 100). We love having people over to the house for dinner. They bring their kids over to play while the adults socialize.

We have a room ready for a nursery and are looking forward to filling it with a crib and all the baby gear they will need. This room will change to reflect their styles and interests as they grow.
Our Hope for You Thank you for allowing us a chance to give you a glimpse into our lives. We look forward to meeting you and getting to know you. Soon we hope to share a life through the birth of a baby. A life you will nurture and care for while you are pregnant...and then a life we will nurture and care for as a member of our family.

In this brief time, we hope you see a family that loves God, family and friends. We hope that as we get to know each other, you get a sense of knowing your child will be in a loving, stable home. We appreciate you and the decisions you are making. Thank you for reading this and considering what our family has to offer a child.
