James & Becky are hopeful adoptive parents from Arkansas waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birthmom, Hi. We are Becky and James. We are completely overwhelmed by your love for your child. Your choice to give your baby life and to make an adoption plan is very courageous. Your desire to put your child’s needs first demonstrates strong moral character and amazing love. The child that we are fortunate enough to adopt and raise will hear nothing but kind and loving words about his or her birthmom.

James and I believe that a child is a gift from God. We both love children are eagerly waiting for the day that we will bring a precious baby into our home. Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit about us through these pictures. Your baby is a miracle from God. James and I want nothing more than to bring a miracle baby into our home.

With love,
Becky and James
Our Beginnings: James and my first date was a blind date. My sister met James in a photography class. She asked all semester long if I’d like her to set me up with a great guy from her class. I said no. After their last class together, she calls me and says “I gave away your number. A guy named James may call.” I am so glad he did! On our first date we went to an outdoor concert at an annual festival. We went out again the very next day.

When I met James, he had beautiful long hair. He was growing it out to be cut and donated to make wigs for children with cancer through a program called “Locks of Love.” When James’ hair was long enough, he asked me to shave his head. I slowly and carefully shaved off all of his hair in the longest pieces possible for the children’s wigs. When I got to the very top of his head, I saw something on his scalp. Writing? Then I shaved more quickly!

Finally, I uncovered the words “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” written on the top of his head. James was already down on his knee, holding an engagement ring. Our wedding day was planned for six months later on the two year anniversary of our very first date.

James and I had a blast dating for two years, then we got married and the fun continues. James and I are very much in love.

My Wife Becky:

Becky is the love of my life, my best friend, and my partner in adventure. From the moment I met her, I knew she was the one for me. We do everything together and we always have fun. Becky is always up for an adventure. She has a positive attitude. She always sees the good in every situation and every person.

Becky is an elementary school teacher for kids with special needs. She has fun and makes learning fun for her students. They all love Ms. Becky. When we see them around town, they act like she is a celebrity.

Becky will be an incredible mother. She is very caring and compassionate. She wants to share her love and talents with a child of our own. Some people have a green thumb with plants; Becky has a green thumb with children. She knows how to help them grow to blossom into amazing people.

Becky loves to learn new things. She decided she wanted to learn how to garden and the next thing we knew, we had more cucumbers, tomatoes, and peppers than we knew what to do with.

Becky is close to her family. Her parents, two sisters, and their families all live in town. Becky likes going to watch soccer games, cheerleading, or just hanging out after school with her nieces and nephews. As a family we enjoy “family dinner nights,” weekends at the lake, and vacations together (all 13 of us). They would all love to have a new precious baby in our family.

Becky is a very athletic person. She enjoys biking and swimming. She enjoys backpacking around Europe. Becky is my cheerleader at running races. She meets me around the course and cheers with great signs so I can see her from a distance. Whether I win or loose, the best part of the race is when I see her and she sees me.

My Husband James:

James is my loving husband and my best friend. He makes me smile. He turns ordinary days into memorable adventures. Being with James makes me believe that I can do anything. I am so thankful for James.

James is a computer engineer. His fabulous attention to detail, creativity, and analytical thinking makes him a natural! He values education and has several degrees, including his Masters in Communication. James has many interests and hobbies. He enjoys photography, bike riding, sailing, and traveling. The hobby that James enjoys the most is running. He runs in marathons and half marathons every year.

James’ family lives out of state. We make it a priority to visit “home” often. James enjoys running all over the U.S. with his father. James and his mother make it a point to spend each others birthdays together. His sister, brother-in-law, and his 9 year old nephew Justin are close. James is Justin’s favorite person in the whole world!

James is going to be an amazing dad that will teach his children by example. His daughter or son will see him daily doing the things that I hope our children will grow to do on their own. He demonstrates hard work and dependability. He takes care of himself with an active life style and healthy eating. He volunteers to help others. He makes family a top priority. He has a natural curiosity and a love of learning. He is honest, loving and kind. One day, a child will be so proud to call James “Dad.”
Our Time Together: James and I share our home with “Olive.” Olive is our fuzzy, four legged friend that loves her belly rubbed. She is a great dog that is wonderful with children. She loves to be walked. We can’t wait to walk Olive along side a baby stroller in the future!

James and I enjoy being on the go. We have fun together taking pictures, going to baseball games, riding bikes, playing on the water or just relaxing at the park. One of the things that we enjoy most is traveling together. We enjoyed an amazing honeymoon through Europe. We’ll never forget it! Closer to home, we like to take long weekend trips to interesting cities and explore the town. We also love to return to our favorite spots again and again. We can’t wait to show our children some of our favorite places. Imagine all the pictures we’ll take!
Dear Birthmom You are carrying the precious gift of a child. By choosing adoption for your child, you are giving an amazing gift not only to your child, but to a loving couple that has been praying for a family.

Choosing the family that will raise your beautiful baby is a big decision. Our prayer for you is that you feel peaceful about the decisions ahead of you. We are honored that you have taken the time to consider us as adoptive parents for your baby. We love each other deeply and want nothing more than to share our love with a child. We will teach our child about the love of God, the importance of family, and the love of his/her birthmom that answered our prayers.

God Bless You,
Becky and James
