Hello!

Thank you so much for considering us as an adoptive family for your baby. We are Jane and Paul. Together with our daughter Nancy, we are a happy, healthy, and fun family. We love each other completely and want to share this love with another child.

We both grew up in families of six and have always hoped for a large family of our own. Although we were blessed with Nancy the doctors have recently said we are unable to have another biological child. We are so excited to expand our family through adoption!

Welcome to our World Let us start by telling you some basics about us. We live in Virginia, not far from Washington DC. Paul is an lawyer and a Vice President of a national trade association. Jane is a stay at home mother who works a little on the side from home. She works for an arts center that produces theater, concerts, and literary readings. Nancy is in Kindergarten. She has red hair and blue eyes and loves arts and crafts, gymnastics, and horses.

We live in a large 5-bedroom home in a wonderful neighborhood that has family picnics and even a Halloween parade. We have a nice yard with a play set, back porch, and trees to climb. We have a friendly dog named Blue (short for Bluebelle) who loves kids and grownups too. There are many parks, recreation centers, and preschools nearby, and in the summer we go to a community pool with a swim team for the little ones. We have a great group of friends and neighbors who we have play dates and parties with. Jane and the other mothers are great friends and they help each other out and have a lot of fun.

Family Fun We are very close with our extended family. Each summer we go up to Grammie and Grandpa’s lake cottage in New Hampshire. It is gorgeous up there, with lakes, mountains, and plenty of recreation. But best of all, Nancy gets to spend time with her 6 cousins. Jane’s three sisters and their families go too, and the kids have a blast swimming, going out to the penny candy store, and watching the fire works on the Fourth of July.

We see Paul's family frequently--not only his parents and brothers but his many aunts, uncles, and cousins too. In the summer, we go the beach at the Outer Banks of North Carolina together. We also like to get together any time of the year for family cook outs, weddings, birthday parties, and other events.

And both of our families get along great. Our folks even visit each other without us around and are a great source of support.

We love holidays—all of them—whether Valentine’s Day, Halloween, or Christmas, we decorate the house and celebrate with family and friends. We particularly enjoy making home made decorations and baking cookies for all occasions.

Goals for Our Children As far as our goals for our children….we want our children to grow to be happy, educated, well-rounded, and kind to others. We will nurture their faith in God. We want to teach them about the world and to have a sense of humor about things. We will support them in their education—we both have advanced degrees and we will encourage them to take their education as far as they are willing. Throughout their lives we will spend time with our children and cherish them.

We are very happy with our lives. At the same time we have a desire deep in our hearts to share our lives with another child.
