Our quest for life has taken us far and wide, and although we have met many fulfilling goals, our exploration returns us to one thought. We must share this beautiful world and the treasures of earth and heavens with a child. If you were to bring this opportunity to us, we know that you would want to be sure that your decision is good, and that any life that is shared with us will be nurtured in body, mind, and spirit to the good of our world, and to the glory of the eternal world.

First, please let us apologize for addressing this to you without even knowing your name. You must understand that you could be the most important person in our lives right now, and that if our faith and hope bring us together it will seem strange that our first greetings were to you as a stranger. While it is impossible for us to understand what you have been feeling in making such important decisions in your life, we hope to share with you enough information to help you make another decision. We pray for you in this moment of careful consideration, and while we may never meet you, please know that we are grateful that you have taken the time to consider us.

Our lives together started more than eighteen years ago and we have been married for sixteen years. Our relationship has been based on love, trust, and the shared experiences of life. We both enjoy the arts, travel, and good food. We have acted in movies, played on tour with rock and roll bands, and lived in Africa, Europe, and Latin America. In our professional lives, we have acted, played musical instruments, displayed great collections of paintings, and helped to save lives.

At this time in our lives we feel confident that we can give you a good idea of who we are, and where we hope to be in the future. We have been given many blessings during our lives. We humbly pray to add to these blessings by being parents, to share our experiences, hopes and joys with a child, and that they may do the same with their children.

About us:
We were both raised in the Christian tradition of spiritual growth, love and faith. Our parents are living and healthy and also look forward to the possibility of a first grandchild. Family has always been the most important aspect of our lives, nurtured by the spiritualism that we share. We have learned our most important values from our families: we love and respect each other and work hard daily to understand our role in the greater spiritual world. We can assure you that any child in our care will know love, adventure, and have the tools necessary to make you proud of your sacred trust in us as parents--just as others have entrusted us as godparents to their children.

Our home and neighborhood: We live in a suburban neighborhood near a major city in the northeastern United States. We enjoy both the cultural benefits of the city, such as live music and museums, but we are also likely to hike in the surrounding forests, river areas and hills, and visit the extensive farmlands in the immediate area. The city has a very good zoo and many activities for young children. Our neighborhood was built several miles from the city limits. The city was never an industrial center, so that the air and water are still clean. From our home we can walk in safety to public schools, ballparks, a new shopping mall, and the station for the underground train to the city.

We also enjoy taking the time to visit our family beach home in Texas that has been the meeting place for our extended family for over 30 years. Here we are able to enjoy a variety of outdoor sports, including kayaking and fishing, but also just like to spend time with family playing in the sand and water. We have always hoped to share this with our child, just as we have done with the children of friends and family.

Although we place the highest value on our loving home and family, we have traveled around the world to find great satisfaction in the work that we do, and the enjoyment of different lands and people. Wally has worked in Europe, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and the South Pacific in order to protect people from violence and harm and to bring families together. Michelle works with some of the great art collections in the world. Together we have enjoyed many of these places together, from exploring wild Africa on safari to enjoying the great art treasures of international museums in European capitols.

We feel that these experiences have given us a profound respect for other people, places, and wildlife, but also have instilled in us a great pride on our own country and people. One of our goals as parents is to provide a child with many opportunities to learn, and to choose from the greatest variety the world can offer, as well as to develop a strong respect for the miracle of life, and the beauty of God’s gift of natural wonders. We hope to offer a safe home and loving family as the foundation for confidence, the joy of exploration, and a healthy understanding of the beauty of the world and all the wonderful experiences that enrich life.

One experience that we will never have is the incredible choice that you have made to bring a child into this world, and to match that child with a family. You will no doubt make many important choices in your life, but none are more important to us that the one that you make to give your child a family that will love and nurture that child. Our hope that you will have faith in us and consider us as parents for your child is our most important quest for life.
