About Us
We've been together for 13 years, and married for ten. We first met on a blind date, and as we like to joke – Mark knew I was the one right away, and I’m still deciding. We’ve experienced many transitions - moving from an apartment to our home, adding our dog Louie to our lives, celebrating family and personal milestones.

The most significant transition of our lives begins now... connecting with birth mothers and one day becoming parents. It will be a great experience speaking with you and other women considering adoption. We hope to become your ally in any way you want.

We believe life is much easier with laughter - when good or bad things happen. During our free time we enjoy going to the beach or a football game, seeing a favorite band or musician, spending time with our friends and family. We like to travel, and frequently go away with friends of ours who have children. Our most recent trip was just a few months ago when we traveled to London & Paris. Our goal of enjoying each day and experiencing new things and places are values that we will pass on to our child.

About Mark - by Lauren
Mark is a caring, funny guy. He enters a room and light its up with his smile and the upbeat way he speaks. He enjoys talking sports, sharing conversations with friends or family, playing with our nieces and nephews, or telling me about the latest funny thing Louie (our dog) did during the walk they just took.

My favorite thing about Mark is how he cares about people and, as a dad, he will share his compassion and love for life with our child...watching him or her experience Giants’ football games, vacations, friendships, homework...and Mark wonders what he or she will enjoy (little league or a dance class?) He will give our child the opportunity to try new things and become anything he or she wants to be.

About Lauren - by Mark
Lauren is a selfless and smart person, and makes everybody she meets feel comfortable. I know Lauren will put her heart and soul into being a mom. She speaks with me about sharing her love of entertainment (movies, books – and yes, the latest Hollywood gossip), travel, and cooking with our child...and helping him or her learn and experience life in a loving and supportive way.

Our Home Six years ago we moved from an apartment to our beautiful 3 bedroom suburban home. Our community has a clubhouse and a swimming pool for children and their families. We live near great schools, beautiful parks (where we walk Louie) and good shopping. Our home has the best kitchen for cooking, a dining room for meals with our family and friends, and in the future our child's friends, and a large playroom.

We live 25 minutes from the city, so it's easy to go to the theater and good restaurants. We are also only an hour from the beach during summertime. As there are so many different activities nearby, our son or daughter will be able to experience a wide range of things - from theater and museums to parks and beaches....and more.

Our families and friends live nearby so we often get together with them. During warmer months our friends and family, especially the children, enjoy Mark's outdoor grilling and during football season they enjoy my famous chili. Watching our future children make their own friends and enjoy these times with the people we love will be a treat.

A Few More Things Mark & I are college graduates who made the most of our educations. Our success comes from personal senses of confidence and the trust that others have in us. Mark’s office is only 15 minutes from our home, so he can easily come home for lunch when we become parents. I left my corporate job to be a consultant so that I will work part time from my home office and be a full time mom. We are so lucky that our work life allows us the financial freedom to enjoy life and provide for our future family.

When we become parents we will give unconditional nurturing and love to our son or daughter so that he or she can grow into the best person they want to be. We'll pass on to our child....a love for life, a sense of independence and confidence, a belief that every situation has a positive side, and an understanding of the great love his or her birth parents have for him or her.

Thank You We imagine our child will grow up understanding of how loving his or her birth parent(s) are. We will share anything with our future child that his or her birth parent(s) want known.
