Robert & Nancy are hopeful adoptive parents from Indiana waiting to adopt a baby.

Dear Expectant Mother,
Hi! We're Nancy, Robert, and our very happy, adopted son Samuel... Are we the family you're searching for? We're eager to share daily laughter, unconditional love, and fun adventures with your precious baby! We can only imagine what you are feeling --- and our hearts go out to you. We know you have some big decisions to make and you might feel worried. Please take comfort knowing that your baby will always be loved and cherished by our family.

We Have Learned Adoption is a Wonderful Way to Build a Family...
After many years of unsuccessfully trying to have a baby, we were blessed and over-joyed when God led Sam's birthmother to choose us to be his parents. It was amazing to meet and fall in love with him just minutes after his birth. Sam brings us much joy and happiness every single day. We are thrilled that Sam and his future adopted sibling will be able to relate to each other.

Sam’s birthmother is a special woman who will always hold a special place in our hearts and family. We graciously keep her updated with pictures and letters and are open to visits. We hope to create a similar openness with the birthmother of our next child but, will respect your comfort level and wishes.

About Us
We met at Purdue University and "clicked" on our first date. We talked for hours and hours about movies we both liked, places we wanted to travel, and our dreams for the future. We spent every day together and knew we would be married one day after only two weeks of dating! We have a strong, loving and committed marriage based on honesty, trust, and respect. Our strength is that we work hard to resolve conflicts immediately so that resentments never have a chance to build up.

Family Time
We have a passion for traveling but also enjoy spending time together with family. Visiting Disneyland last summer touched our hearts as there was nothing like seeing “It’s a Small World” through Sam’s awe-struck eyes. We take at least one long vacation every year with many weekend trips in between. We’ve been to London, Rome, Ireland, Maui, and various other tropical islands and cities around the country. Sam absolutely loves flying on a plane and can't wait to go again, especially since the pilot let him sit in the cockpit this summer.

We always look forward to celebrating a special Christmas Eve with Bob’s family in our home with tons of food ---Nancy’s lasagna is a big hit!.

Our Neighborhood
We live in a large four-bedroom home in a wooded neighborhood. It has top-rated schools and three beautiful parks within walking distance. We are fortunate to live close to Chicago and like to visit Brookfield Zoo, the Shedd Aquarium, and the Field Museum.

Nancy's Story My Interests
I love traveling and exploring new places. I enjoy decorating, photography, trying new recipes, and listening to my Ipod on the health club treadmill (but I shamefully admit I need to go more often…like Bob who is much more disciplined about this). I treasure my time with Sam at bumper bowling, soccer camp, trips to the park, and play dates with his cousins. Sam is a very bright 3 year old and already knows how to read! We can't spell anything in front of him (like my parents did) because he knows what we're spelling. LOL. He now attends preschool all by himself and loves it so much he wants to go there even when it's closed! Although Sam's new independence gives me more time to devote to our new baby, he says he wants to help too. :-)

I also enjoy "adult time". Bob and I have a monthly "date night" and like to go to dinner, the movies, concerts, plays or hang out with friends and play charades, cards, or "Pictionary". My sister Mary and I sometimes "shop 'til we drop" and it's always fun to meet girlfriends for lunch or "bunco" parties.

Robert Talks About Nancy
Nancy and I truly enjoy each other’s company. I knew she was “THE ONE” soon after we met in college. She has a special capacity for compassion that allows her to put herself in the other person’s shoes to know how they feel. Nancy is honest, generous, positive, funny, smart, and beautiful both inside and out.

Nancy is a great mommy! She is patient, loving, and devoted to our children. Her high level of integrity --- the highest I’ve ever known --- not only make her a wonderful wife and mother, but inspires me to be a better person.

Robert's Story My Interests
I see my friends weekly, either playing basketball or golfing. I cherish my time with Sam playing "Candyland" (Sam is the champ!), reading books, and teaching him to play T-ball, soccer, and basketball with local kid clubs. I enjoy traveling, boating, watching movies, playing video games, and rough-housing with Sam --- along with our many nieces and nephews who all seem to like to "tackle Uncle Bob” simultaneously.

Nancy Talks About Robert
Bob loves children. He takes pride in mentoring a new 5th grader each school year. He was deeply touched when a former student visited and thanked him for spending time with and caring about him when he was struggling through a difficult time at home.

Bob is stable, loyal, kind, loving, funny, smart, and open-minded. He loves learning new things and continually strives for self-improvement. He is solid in every aspect of his life and makes me want to be a better person because of his example.

Bob is a "big kid" at heart and a terrific father (like I always knew he would be!). I am proud to say he is a great role model for our children and has many great things to teach them.

We Love Being Parents! Our Values
Faith, Family, and Education are central to our lives. We are honored to be godparents to five of our nieces and nephews and are truly touched that our families have such faith in us as parents. We get together with our families often for dinners, game-nights, birthday parties, holidays and weekend barbecues. Sam loves to visit and play with his many cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents who all live nearby. Our families are eager to help us welcome and love a new baby.

We both attended private schools and later earned our college degrees. Your child will be well educated too as we believe education opens many doors. We believe education never ends. We will encourage your child to try a wide variety of fun activities in the arts, music, and sports.
