michael & angela are hopeful adoptive parents from Virginia waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Hello! And Welcome! We are Mike and Angela. Thanks so much for reading our letter to you. Please know how much we appreciate your willingness to consider adoption. We understand that this is a difficult decision to make, we admire your courage and strength, and we hold you in our thoughts and prayers through your journey.

Although we’ve not been able to have children of our own, we have always looked forward having a family. We are so very grateful that adoption makes this possible.

When we met almost 12 years ago in Virginia, it was love at first sight! Little did we realize at the time that we were both originally from the New England area – Angela from Massachusetts and Michael from Rhode Island. The rest was history. Within 11 months we were engaged and then married. We love each other very deeply and want to share that love, security, and happiness as parents.
About Us About Mike

Michael grew up in Rhode Island. He always loves to talk about spending summers at the beach. His parent grew up, met and married in Rhode Island. He is one of four children – 3 boys and one girl. Michael went to school in Rhode Island and Chicago and worked in New York for a short time before moving to Washington, DC. One of his brothers still lives in Rhode Island and his sister and other brother live in the Chicago area. Mike loves to play tennis, baseball and basketball and usually plays one or twice a week with friends. He also is an absolute football sports fanatic! He works in the mortgage and insurance business, but has flexibility in his schedule to spend time at home as needed.

Angela’s thoughts about Mike

Michael is my best friend, and I married him because his heart is so full of goodness and love. One of the things I love most about him is seeing how much he has cared for his own parents and family. He loves them all very much and stays close to them. He clearly has very fond memories of his childhood growing up in Rhode Island. And I know he’ll want to create those same wonderful memories for our children. He can’t wait to play “soccer-Dad” and take his children to whatever events they are involved in. He cares deeply for me, loves me unconditionally, and I know he will always be there for me and our children. He is hard-working, yet has a very healthy perspective on life, not taking things too seriously. He is by nature a very calm and caring person. I am so lucky that my mother and brothers love Michael as much as I do, and Michael loves them right back.

About Angela

Angela is originally from Massachusetts. She is one of three children and her parents were born in Italy and came to United States in the 1950s where they met in Boston and married. Angela grew up in Massachusetts, went to colleges in New York and New Jersey and then moved to Washington, DC to work. Angela loves to cook, play tennis and run, and roll up her sleeves working on special projects around the house. Angela has worked in government and now works as a consultant, but looks forward to spending time at home with a child.

Mike’s thoughts about Angela

Angela is a very caring, loving and passionate person. I fell in love with her because she is beautiful, smart and funny! She makes me laugh! She loves being around family, and she loves being around children, either our nieces and nephew or with her girlfriends’ children. Children simply light up when they are around Angela, and she responds the same way. I’ve always known that she would be a wonderful, fun Mom. She gets great joy out of making our house feel like a home and she always takes great care to make sure everyone feels at home, even when they are visiting.

Our Home & Family We live in a Virginia suburb of Washington, DC. We own a five bedroom, 3 story home on 2 acres of land on a quiet cul de sac. We share our house with Angela’s mother – Anna – and our two feisty pug dogs – Buster and Max. Our beautiful community in northern Virginia has many lovely homes, excellent schools, a national park, and many other recreational areas and activities. Our church is just around the corner and it recently opened a wonderful academy for students and we dream of our child attending this school.

We enjoy spending time together and with our friends and family staying physically active, traveling, going to concerts and plays. We have been fortunate to have been able to travel to many wonderful places such as Hawaii, Grand Cayman, St. John, Argentina, Chile, England, Italy, and most cities in the United States. We also make an annual trip to New York City at Thanksgiving to kick off the holiday season. We love the Christmas spectacular at Radio City Music Hall, seeing the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center, and taking in a Broadway show. Another favorite place to visit is Florida, particularly the Miami area and Key West. We love warm, sunny places and spending time at the beach!

Grandma in the House!

Angela’s mother – Anna –originally moved in while she was overcoming a battle with cancer and we could nurse her back to health. Fortunately, God’s plan was to allow her to stay with us and we quickly came to realize that the best place in this world for her was to be with us. We turned the bottom level of our house into her apartment. She has complete privacy and ability to come and go as she pleases. She has lived with us now for 9 years and has been in excellent health the entire time, and she has been very active in several different senior organizations in our community.

Over the years Anna has given us so much more joy and love than she knows! We love having her with us. She can’t wait for us to become parents and we know that, as a grandmother, she will love and cherish a child with all of her heart and soul. Anna can’t wait to be a grandmother and she will be the most wonderful adoring and loving one. She already has knitted us a few blankets for a baby and can’t wait to be able to teach piano!

Our Extended Family

We often travel to Chicago and Rhode Island to visit with Mike’s family, including his aunts and cousins and their children. We still have an annual family reunion in August in Rhode Island and the whole family gets together to laugh and stuff ourselves on seafood that we miss the rest of the year – those clam cakes and lobster rolls! Angela’s brothers come to visit in Virginia during holidays and birthdays and Anna will often travel to Texas to visit her sons during the year. Angela also remains very close to her aunts, uncles, cousins and their children who all live in New England area. They all recently came to Virginia for one of Anna’s birthday parties and everyone will get together soon for another family wedding. Angela also still has aunts and cousins in Italy and we stay in touch and have visited them.
As Parents As parents, we believe it is very important to play active roles in our children’s lives. Our parents always told us how important education is and we will do whatever we can to make sure our children have opportunities available to them to learn and grow. We also want them to learn to enjoy the little things in life and be caring and generous to others. Most importantly, we would want our children to have fun and to feel secure as they grow and discover what life is all about!

We do attend Catholic church regularly and would want our children to grow up with a strong sense of faith to bring them happiness, fulfillment and strength. We want our children to have a strong sense of confidence, goodness, and of knowing the difference between right and wrong.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our profile and learn a little more about us. We would love to become parents to your child. If you choose us, rest assured you will be giving your child a wonderful home full of so much love, happiness, and laughter!.

Please give us a call and let’s start to get to know each other!

Warmest wishes,

Mike and Angela
