We've Adopted a Baby!

Dear Birthmother We wanted to start by telling you how extremely excited we are to start the adoption process. We would like to thank you personally for even making it possible. We can't begin to imagine how difficult this decision must be for you. We hope that the following information about us will help to make this decision somewhat easier. Ever since we got married we have wanted to start a family. After years of trying to start a family, we were excited to find out we were pregnant. However, after 24 weeks we had a stillborn son. It has been a long road for us since this was one of the most difficult things we have ever faced. At this point we now know adoption is how we will complete our family. We have so much love to give to a child and you can rest assured that your child would be loved unconditionally and cared for by us for the rest of his or her life.

About us We met through Sheldon's brother and his wife who happened to be Kelley's best friend since kindergarten. It's pretty much like a fairy tale that two best friends ended up married to brothers. The minute I met Sheldon I knew there was something very special and different about him. We started dating, soon fell in love and were together for the last eight years. Sheldon is a very honest, kind-hearted and compassionate person. He loves all of our nieces and nephews very much. He's always been great with children and he looks forward to being a father someday soon. Sheldon is a civil engineer at an engineering consulting firm. He designs roads and bridges and thoroughly enjoys his work. Having grown up on a farm, Sheldon knows the value of hard work and takes pride in what he does for a living. Sheldon loves to do projects around the home. He is good with his hands and is definitely a handy man around the house. He is always willing to help out family and friends with their projects. Sheldon is an all around good guy and loved very much by his wife, family and friends. We get together with family often and usually communicate with them everyday. Our family is extremely excited for us to bring home a new baby that we can all love and enjoy.

Kelley completed her Associates degree and worked in Industrial Marketing for 10 years at a major food ingredient supplier. She is currently a homemaker and tends to the house everyday. She enjoys cooking and baking and taking care of our home. Kelley also enjoys maintaining the flowerbeds and vegetable garden. Every summer she cans and freezes fruits and vegetables that we grow in our garden. Kelley has a huge heart and is great with nieces, nephews, and kids of all ages. Kelley is always willing to help out family and friends in whatever they may need. Kelley enjoys spending quality time with her nieces and nephews and babysitting as often as possible. She is very excited to start our family and to be a stay-at-home mom.
We have always felt that it is a priority of ours that Kelley be a stay at home mom when we have children so she can provide as much love and care for them as possible. We live in a single story ranch home in a quiet subdivision. We have friendly neighbors and lots of small kids around to play with. We love our home and would really like to fill it with a child.
We are both extremely close with our families and as a result, they are a major part of our lives. Sheldon has one brother who is married with a 3-year old girl and a 2 week old boy. Sheldon's parents live about 20 minutes away from us. We see them pretty regularly for holidays, birthdays, and just to get together for meals or an evening.

Kelley has 2 brothers and 2 sisters. One sister is married with two sons and a daughter, while the other sister has two sons. Kelley's oldest brother is married with a 4 year old daughter and his wife is currently expecting their second child. Kelley's youngest brother and his wife live right across the street in the same subdivision. Kelley's parents live about 10 minutes away so we see them fairly often. We love getting together with family and we always have a great time. We love and cherish the time we spend with our nieces and nephews and look forward to introducing our new child to them someday.
As a couple we are very active. We are involved in our church and we have such an awesome support group in our church family and friends. We enjoy watching sports and going to sporting events. We both love to golf, vacation, hike and just spend time together w/ friends and family.

Sheldon and I feel very blessed to have each other and to be able to have this opportunity as a couple. God is the center of our relationship and without Him, we know we have nothing. We will be praying continually for you. We understand that this is a very difficult decision for you to make, however, we hope that while you were reviewing this information about us, it gives you a comfort and peace to know that your child would be loved and cared for in our home. That love would not only come from us, but also from our wonderful family and friends that surround and support us as we are going through this process and the rest of our lives. We are so excited to start this journey as parents and to share our love and happiness with a child of our own.
