ED & LISETTE are hopeful adoptive parents from New Jersey waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

THIS IS OUR DESTINY! Dear Birth Mother,

We are Lee and Ed, a happy couple residing in our own home—a spacious ranch, with a pool and lots of land-- in New Jersey.

Ever since I was a little girl, I knew that I would adopt. Growing up, I sponsored children in poverty stricken countries and it gave me great satisfaction. My mother baby-sat in our home and I loved all the children, while learning how to care for them. To this day, whenever I see them all grown up, they always remember me and the fun times we had and I know I made a difference in their lives. Although we were initially disappointed when we found out that we could not have a biological child, we know that our destiny includes children. This is just an alternate route.

After the baby is born, I am going to be a stay- at-home mom, because I feel the first few years are crucial in the development of the child. We strongly believe that our life experiences along with our family network will help raise a happy, healthy, and prosperous individual.

GREAT PLACE TO GROWUP! We live in a wonderful neighborhood for kids. We are in walking distance to two parks, three lakes and fifteen minutes to beaches and boardwalks. Our dog is a Maltese named Logan, who keeps us laughing, he’s such a character.

Family comes first for us, and we have a large, supportive and loving clan, who live close by, so we see each other often, and celebrate all the holidays together. We have 1 niece and 6 nephews. On the weekends, we’re busy attending their games, concerts and other activities, and we love to spoil them every once in a while by taking them shopping. It makes us feel good when they come to us for advice. We think it’s great practice for when we become parents. Also, we baby-sit for the 16 month old whenever we could. He’s certainly a handful, but it’s so gratifying.

Although we don’t go to church every Sunday, we both believe in God and are Catholics. I went to a Catholic grammar school, and I think it was a good experience for me. My mother is active in the local church and my father sings in the chorus. We make it a point to attend all the important observances.

Ironically, we attended the same high school, but we’re five years apart. We both played sports, joined clubs, and excelled in academics. I also took piano, which I play to this day. We met 12 years ago at the local gym. He approached me first, and it was love at first sight. We continue to keep fit, especially now that we’re expecting a baby. He proposed to me on a trip to the Florida Keys, and we were married two years later in a beautiful, outdoor wedding. We honeymooned in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, and that was the beginning of Ed’s interest of learning to speak Spanish. I speak Spanish fluently, and he has really excelled at it and loves to use it when we visit Spanish speaking countries and even communicating effectively with his own employees. I would definitely like our children to be bi-lingual. It’s so important in this day and age.

We love to travel and have visited South America, Central America, Europe, the Caribbean islands, and the majority of the States. We like spending time outdoors, going out to dinner, and going to the movies. We also like to go to New York City, to see plays, and other special events, like the feast of San Gennaro and the lighting of the tree at Rockefeller Center. In the fall and winter we hike or ski at the Poconos in Pennsylvania. We want to continue traveling with our children, exposing them to different races, ethnicities, and cultures.

ACTIVE LIFESTYLE! I went to college and graduated with a degree in Communications and Visual Arts with a minor in Spanish. I also dabbled in other languages like Italian and French. After graduating, I worked in marketing and was soon promoted to independent film manager. I loved living the city and joined the Road Runners club, which helped me train for 5K races, which I did to raise money for different causes. I moved from Manhattan back to ‘Jersey to start a career as an Entertainment writer, and that’s when we met.

Ed always knew that he wanted to work for himself. And in 1997, he did just that starting the flourishing business we own now. He’s worked long hours, sometimes up to 12 hours a day, to make it the success it is today. He has always said he’s been driven to succeed so that our children would have everything he didn’t growing up. And now he can set his own hours so that when we become parents he can spend quality time at home with our children. Four years ago, I decided to help the business flourish by heading up a marketing department. Yes, we do see each other every day, but it’s exciting and has only brought us closer together.

We look forward to meeting you and begin this amazing adventure. Please call us toll-free at 877-545-7664 for more information or call our adoption attorney, Robin Fleischner, toll free at 888-582-9141.

With love,

Lee and Ed
