Matthew & Angelica are hopeful adoptive parents from Utah waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birthparents We are so excited that you are looking at our profile! We hope you are in good spirits. Adoption has been such a blessing in our lives. We have been hoping and praying for the chance to welcome more little spirits into our family.

We looked forward to having children in our home for a long time. Over the years when we were unable to conceive, the thought of adoption came to our minds several times. One night several years ago we were sitting at home talking. The subject of adoption came up and we both had a strong feeling that the time was right to start the adoption process. The next Sunday we fasted and prayed together for confirmation that adoption was the right path for us. We knew, in our hearts, that it was Heavenly Father’s plan for us and were filled with so much happiness and peace. We have been so blessed to have Jacob and Bethany in our home, and we are very excited to have more children join our family.

We've been married for more than thirteen years and we're still in-love! :) We feel so grateful to have a good marriage and a happy family. We work hard at it and know that the effort is worth it. We want to share some of the things we do to strengthen our marriage and family...

We go out almost every weekend, just the two of us, on a date. We try to go away each year for our anniversary. We feel like it's important to celebrate our marriage and we believe that the best gift we can give our children is a mom and dad that love each other and treat each other with kindness and respect. We take the kids on "special dates" where they get to pick a fun place to go and choose which of us they want to go with. These have been some really fun and memorable experiences. We feel like one-on-one time with each child is important. Every Monday we have a "Family Home Evening" where we have a lesson, a fun activity and a yummy treat. The kids look forward to it and love to see which assignment they get to do. We often have a "Friday Family Fun Night" where we do fun things together... play games, watch movies, pop popcorn etc.... We have dinner together each night as a family. We've realized how important this is to the kids - they don't want to eat until Daddy gets home. It's fun to talk about our days and listen to the funny things the kids have to say. Angie sits down with the kids after they get home from school to talk to them about their school day. The kids look forward to this one-on-one time. We try to make each holiday and birthday fun and special and are always trying to think of fun things make into traditions.

We live in a nice area with parks and schools close by. We live in a neighborhood with lots of kids and good families. We are lucky to live close to extended family members. The kids love to play with their cousins that only live a few blocks away. We see Grandma & Grandpa at least once a month when we have a family dinner with all of Angie's family. Jacob & Bethany are loved and adored by each of their grandparents, aunts and uncles. We are very lucky to have loving and supportive friends and family.
All about Matt (written by Angie) Matt is a sweetheart. He’s a very gentle, kind, patient person. He’s quick to give me a hug or a listening ear when he sees I need one. Matt has a really calming spirit about him that makes people feel comfortable and at home. My family adores him. He has a really funny personality and although he can be quiet at times, you never know when he’ll say something that will make everybody laugh.

Matt is really good with kids. He is a wonderful dad. As soon as our children hear Matt coming in the house, they are up from whatever they are doing and running to greet him at the door. Matt is so sweet with our children. He plays and wrestles with them, lets them help him with little projects around the house and spends time reading stories and singing songs with them. Matt has five sisters and two brothers, which is probably one reason he’s so great with kids. Four of his siblings were adopted, so adoption has always had a soft place in his heart.

Matt has a beautiful voice. He plays the tuba, guitar and drums and had a rock band in high school. They were really good (I’ve heard their recordings). When Matt told the guys in his band he was leaving on a mission they were really bummed that the band would have to break up. Matt was the lead guitarist, the lead vocalist and also wrote all of the music…so when he left, that ended the band!

Matt is very smart. He works as a software engineer and he is a co-owner in a business he does on the side. Matt is a hard worker and does an excellent job with whatever he’s given. He is a great provider for our family. He has a strong testimony of the gospel and is a great example to the people around him. He’s worked in many areas in the LDS church. I can honestly say that I really didn’t have a clue what a wonderful man I had found when I married him! I’m a really lucky woman!
All about Angie (written by Matt) Angie is my very best friend. She is a very sweet, loving and genuine person. I saw these traits and fell in love with her almost immediately. I was ready to marry her after only knowing her a few days. We have had so much fun together doing the things that we love. We spend a lot of time with Angie’s family. She is the second of six very sweet girls and one boy (he’s sweet too). Her parents are very kind and loving people that spoil every one of their grandchildren.

Angie has an uncle and several cousins that were adopted. Our families are very excited that we’ve decided to adopt again. Angie is very creative and imaginative (which keeps things interesting). She is an excellent musician. She earned an Associates Degree in music and has taught violin lessons to children.

Angie is very industrious, hard working and trustworthy. Before children came to our family, Angie was working as a programmer/supervisor at a local software company. Although she was a trusted and admired coworker and employee, she wanted nothing more than to stay home and be a full-time mommy. She always had faith that this great wish would come true. Indeed, the greatest trait that Angie brings to our family is her strong faith and love for the Lord. She is always striving to do what is right and help people along the way. My sweetheart is very good with children, and is doing a wonderful job nurturing our son and daughter.
More information Jacob (six years old) came to us through the miracle of adoption and has been a joy from the minute he entered our lives. He is a happy, good-natured boy who loves people, especially other children. He is a very sweet older brother. Jacob loves reading books, playing the piano, singing songs, drawing, playing outside, taking walks, “fixing” things (his favorite tool is tape), building things, spending time with his aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents, flying kites with his daddy, giving hugs and kisses, making messes to keep mommy busy and most especially, he loves playing with and helping his little sister, Bethany.

Bethany (three years old) also came to our family through adoption. She is such a sweet little girl. She's developing quite a sense of humor. She adores Jacob and has fun playing with him. Her favorite thing in the world is to look at books. She also LOVES to sing. She is a girly-girl…she gets so excited about shoes, pretty clothes and blankets that she giggles when she sees them. She loves babies and is constantly pointing out babies at church, in stores, in pictures etc… In every prayer she says she lets Heavenly Father know she wants a baby to come to our family :) She is such a blessing in our lives.

We have great relationships with both Jacob & Bethanys' birth families. We know that each adoption situation is different and we are open to discussing what you are comfortable with as far as correspondence. We would love to share letters and pictures with you if that is something you desire.

We know that Heavenly Father loves all of us and wants us to be happy. We know finding the right family for your child is important and we pray that you will be guided in the difficult decisions that you have in front of you. We hope to meet you soon.

Much love,
Matt & Angie
