Hello!

We are David and Susan. Thank you for taking time to learn about us and about our dream of becoming loving, caring and supportive parents. We realize this decision is one of the most difficult ones you will make and how important it is for you to choose the best parents to care for your child. We hope we’ll have the opportunity to fulfill that wish for you. We would love to be blessed with a child to share our life and love.

Our beginnings…

We met at our place of employment in 1996. We developed a unique connection and became best friends for two years before we began to date. A very special friendship and love brought us together and we quickly fell in love. We were engaged in 2000 and married in 2001. We will be celebrating our 7th year wedding anniversary. We really love spending time with each other. We know we will be fully complete when God welcomes a child into our lives.

Why we want to adopt…

As soon as we got married, we wanted to expand our family and have children. We wanted to be positive role models to our kids. After many disappointments of trying to conceive on our own, we sought the help of a fertility specialist. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful and continued to receive devastating news that we were not pregnant. We believe this happened for a reason. We believe that God has another plan for us and wants us to have a beautiful baby by being adoptive parents.
David…

David is an office manager for a mortgage company. He graduated from high school and immediately entered the full-time workforce. He was employed at Unisource for 21 years as an inside sales professional. His company moved their office to Jacksonville, so David sought a new career in the mortgage industry. David is a remarkably awesome person. He is kind, compassionate and caring. He always put others first and himself last. He has two wonderful children from his previous marriage. David, his son, is thirteen and Devon, his daughter, is seventeen. The special bond he shares with his kids is very honorable. David is a positive role model and is looked up to by his family, friends and peers. If we ever have disagreements, an apology from both sides quickly follows. We do not believe in being mean to each other, rather to love each other to the fullest extent. David has a great sense of humor and always makes people laugh. We split everything 50/50. We both help around the house, indoors and out and we pick up where the other one left off.

Susan…

Susan a product specialist for a national paper distributor and has been with the same company for 12 years. She helps to develop products and pricing for fine paper printers and works closely with the national account managers. She gets along very well with her co-workers and has formed many special bonds with them. She is a very caring and compassionate person. She dedicates much of her life to self improvement and making a difference in people’s lives. She recently graduated from Immaculata University with a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership. She has taught conflict management classes within her organization and was honorably recognized for improving people’s interpersonal relationships. She loves children and is a great step mom. She has spent ample, quality time developing and enhancing her relationship with her two step children. She treats them as if they were her own. In David Jr.’s class meeting, he was asked who he most admired and he chose Susan because she was so nice and smart. Devon chose her to be her Confirmation sponsor. Like David, Susan enjoys cycling very much. She also enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog Chip.
Home & community…

We live in a cozy and spacious split level house in Chester County, Pennsylvania. We have a huge front and back yard. The ground is very open but private. We have remodeled the bathrooms, painted the walls and landscaped the outside to truly make it our home. We live in one of the most reputable school districts in the county. Our neighborhood is very safe and is surrounded by dozens of children and nice people. We are involved in the community by going to church every Sunday and volunteering at the local mushroom festival. We also ride in the American Cancer Society bike-a-thon every year to raise money towards the cure for cancer. This is a 68 mile ride. It is very rewarding when we finish. We have two cats, Eddie and Buddy, and a dog named Chip. The color of Chip\'s fur looks like chocolate chip cookie dough. All of our animals are very loving and gentle creatures who just want to be petted and spend time together….most of the time.

Our families…

We both come from loving supportive families who are very excited about our decision to adopt. We were both born and raised in middle class suburbs. David’s family lives close to us. He has two sisters and a brother. We spend quality time with his family and share every holiday and occasion with them. All of his siblings are married with children. David always helps his parents around their house. He visits them after work to share the day’s events and assist them with their household duties. His parents are forever grateful to him. Susan’s family also lives very close. She has a sister who is single and a brother who is married. Her brother was blessed with a beautiful daughter of whom Susan is the Godmother. Susan helps to take care of her by teaching her gymnastics, swimming and how to care and treat pets kindly. Like David’s family, we spend a great deal of time with Susan’s family. We often have them over for cookouts regularly and to celebrate special times. Our families are our foundation.

Fun times…

We are both very active. We like to go for walks, hikes and bike rides. Every summer we go to the Jersey Shore for vacation. We have both vacationed there all of our lives. We also enjoy going to amusement parks and to the Pocono’s to mountain bike and site see. We enjoy the designated trails which have remarkable scenery and waterfalls. We encourage and include Devon and David Jr. in our adventures to make sure they also stay active and healthy. Susan weight trains with David Jr. and helps prep him for football season. She teaches David and Devon gymnastics in their backyard. The family unit is one of the most important aspects of our lives and we both cherish and value each moment spent with them.
Our faith…

We were both born and raised as Catholics. We have been baptized and have received all of the sacraments. Every Sunday we go to church to pray and thank God for our blessings. We also ask him to bless us with the precious gift of a baby some day. God has helped of us through many of life’s trials and tribulations. We say grace before every dinner. We believe in raising our children in a Christian environment. We believe that families who pray together stay together.

Open adoption…

We intend to tell our child that he or she is adopted as soon as they are able to understand. We plan this to be at a very early age. We want you to feel confident that we will respect your needs and desires of openness with your baby. We will instill upon them how much their birthparents care for and love them and will gladly discuss an open adoption arrangement with you. We respect whatever plan is best for you. We would very much like to provide a warm, loving and stable environment for a child and know how important that is for the birthparents to know. We want to share our home, our children, our family and our love with our special gift of an adopted child.

Thank you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us. We are thrilled to share our life story with you and hope you will consider us to adopt your child. We promise to be loving and caring parents and to dedicate our lives to your child.

God Bless You Always!

David & Susan
