Adoption in Progress.
Dear Birthmother
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about us and our family. Our names are Beckyand Lee. We are so excited to have this opportunity to introduce ourselves. Yet, very nervous in regards to what to say...
We've been married for thirteen years and have always dreamt of having a large family. Although, things don't always work out the way we plan, we did get a chance to begin our family seven years ago when we adopted our son, Reed. We cherish and love every minute of watching Reed grow and we finally feel we're ready to expand our family again and share in the joy of parenting.
Becky works as a therapist in occupational therapy. The work is very rewarding but it also can be emotionally challenging due the fact, you're working with people with very serious illness, injuries and permanent disabilities, which is heavy on the heart at times. There is also lots of joy, success and life time friendships made. Recently, Becky started a rehabilitation company with a co-worker and works on a part-time basis. Allowing her to enjoy her favorite pass times; art, yard work, reading, home remodeling, going to sporting events and spending time with family/friends. As well as, volunteering at our son's school.
With a degree in criminology/sociology, Lee has had a few interesting jobs, which include, a police officer in the Chicago area and a private investigator in the Twin Cities. Currently Lee works as a claim examiner supervisor, Overseeing numerous construction claims nation wide for a large insurance company. Lee likes to golf whenever possible, as well as landscaping, home remodeling, spending time with family/friends. Also an avid sports fanatic, he always makes time to get to a game... football, hockey, baseball, basketball and/or NASC car racing.
Both of us grew up on a lake in northern Minnesota. Our parents live less than a mile away from each other and get along so well, that they even celebrate holidays together. Our families are very active in our lives and very important. Becky comes from a typical large Italian family with lots of hugging, kissing and cheek pinching. Becky is the middle child of three and is very close to her siblings. Both her sister and brother are married with two children each. Lee comes from a hardworking, fun loving and supportive family. Lee is the oldest of three boys and has a strong bond with his brothers. Lee's youngest brother Jay is a newspaper journalist. Lee's middle brother is married with 4- children and he's going on his second tour of duty in Iraq. Since we both were raised on lakes, we are never too far from water, fishing, boating, swimming and skiing. Both of our parents have second homes in Florida which we take full advantage of by taking an annual trip to the sunshine state. CIt's a great getaway from those cold Minnesota winters.)

Reed is a very active seven year old boy, who keeps us on the go with hockey, baseball, soccer and guitar lessons. He loves to draw, play on the computer, going fishing, catching bugs, playing with his friends and hanging with his best friend of all, our dog, Monte. Reed loves to laugh and has an infectious smile. Reed is very excited to be a big brother.

We live in a well established neighborhood with large trees, spacious back yards with no fences. Kids run from yard to yard, gathering fora neighborhood game of baseball or football. We walk to school and the high school football games. We spend a lot of time biking on the trials, going to the park, playing ball, sitting on our patio or around the fire pit with friends. Our house is a 4- bedroom colonial home that we have been enjoying renovating ourselves. We love to work with our hands and find the work very rewarding.
We've always hoped to have children and we are so grateful that adoption has provided us the opportunity to fulfill that dream and to expand our family. We feel that adoption is the most loving sacrifice one can choose. With that said, we will promise your child a life full of love, support and security. And provide a true understanding of the incredible miracle of adoption.
Thank you again for taking the time to learn a little about us. We'd love to hear from you.
Sincerely,
Lee and Becky
