Jason & Michelle are hopeful adoptive parents from Hawaii waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Introduction Dear Birth Parents,

We appreciate your time in reading our letter. We wish to communicate to you how wonderful it is that you are considering adoption for your child. Your decision is an act of love and sacrifice. We admire you. We pray you will have the strength, peace, and the guidance you need at this time and throughout your life. We will always be eternally grateful for you.

We both served missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Concepción Chile where we first met briefly. After returning home, a sweet courtship ensued. We were wed in the Atlanta, Georgia Temple June 14, 1997. Since then, we have had four children. We have three daughters (9, 7 and 6) and a son (3). Now, Michelle is unable to have more children and we feel our family is missing a brother.

Our Family Life We strive to teach our children to follow Jesus' teachings. Every Monday night, we gather the family together to play, sing, conduct family business, and eat treats. The children look forward to these events and never let us miss one! It is through our family prayers that we have felt the need and strong desire to adopt another child. We have a surplus of love in our family and a desire to serve all of God’s children! Our home is a welcome one with lots of love and happiness to go around.

We believe in positive reinforcement and discipline. We love focusing on the good in each child. In return, they do their very best. We feel that learning respect for God, themselves, and others is a priority. We focus our efforts on being kind to one another. We encourage reading from good books and support their individual talents and interests. We go to the library often and each child gets to check out books. We also make it a priority to play together often as a family. We love to play outside at the beach, go to parks, and take hikes. Some of our favorite activities as a family are flying kites, bowling, kick ball, hula hooping, soccer and bike riding. We also enjoy playing a variety of board games together. We are amusement park junkies! We have been to Tokyo Disney, all the parks at Disney World, and are planning a trip to Disney Land. There is no greater joy than seeing our family laughing and having fun together.
The Children Laurel is a lovely, friendly child. She is our biggest helper in the family and willingly helps her younger siblings. She works hard to be the community helper in fourth grade. Her goals include being an environmental hero, a babysitter, and a veterinarian. Her siblings really look up to her. She does her best to always do what is the right. She loves babies, and has a talent for soothing a crying baby. She consistently prays for a baby brother. She loves to ride her bike and play piano. She particularly loves collecting rocks and making arts and crafts from just about anything she can get her hands on. She is a whiz at school!

Catherine is always curious about the world around her. She is doing great in third grade and is very popular among the students and faculty. She makes us laugh because she always says the wackiest things. For example, she told us after school that classroom noise makes her foot itch! She is sensitive to other people's feelings and is very loving. She loves the piano lessons her mom is teaching her and is learning to play some of her favorite songs from church. She is also great at art. Catherine is very close to her brothers and sisters and is a wonderful playmate because she is kind and good-natured.

Heather is our happy girl. She is thrilled with her first grade teacher and class. She is thriving at school. Her favorite things about school are her friends and field trips! She also likes to write stories about dogs. She loves playing with her siblings and being with her parents. She can't go to sleep without someone from the family giving her a kiss, and there is always someone to oblige her. She always makes us smile. She delights in everything her brother, Jacob, does new. She is our tomboy and will play trains and cars for hours. She has just about mastered the primer levels in piano lessons.

Jacob is developing his love of trucks, trains, cars and airplanes. He always has his hands full of cars or trucks. When saying prayers with us he likes to bless his cars. He is a very polite child. Anytime we do something for him, he without fail says, "Thank you." He is sweet, fun, and wild. He loves to entertain his sisters by doing funny dance moves and making funny faces. Although he is growing fast, he still loves his nighttime cuddle wrapped up tight in a blanket in Mommy or Daddy's arms. His favorite activities are playing in the sandbox and on the slide in the backyard. He says he wants a brother for his happy birthday.

The thing we love most about all our children is their ability to see beyond the appearance of a person and see their soul. We have met people from many cultures and walks of life and they are always accepting of them without reservation. They really like to find and bring out the best in people.
Mom and Dad Jason is an officer in the Navy, and loves his job. He is a good provider and a gentle, playful father. He makes sure we have what we need to make our home a safe and enjoyable place to be. His number one priority is his family. He measures his success and wealth on the happiness of his family. He is the family clown and can guarantee a laugh from each child. He is always planning fun activities for us to do as a family. I trust him completely with the children. He has a very compassionate heart. He stops to help anyone or any animal he sees in need. He is fair and wise, so the children trust his decisions. I haven’t met a better father. He is also very involved in his church responsibilities and is a great help and example in our community. I love him.

Michelle is the light of my life. She is a natural mother with an excellent capacity to love. She has dedicated her life to being a mother and making sure each child in our family gets the devotion he or she deserves, and she always has room for more. The kids in the neighborhood look up to her and are as likely to come ask her to play as they are our children. She works in nursery at church and the children there love her as well. She is at her best when dealing with children. She communicates well on their level and has the patience necessary to try and see things from the child’s viewpoint. She considers any child as a divine gift from God. She also volunteers in the community.

Jason and I are best friends and enjoy surfing together. We date each other often. We feel our relationship is important to maintain so we can be better parents. We both want to see our children grow up happy, loved and secure. We feel another child would fit beautifully into our family. It is our prayer that we will have the great blessing to adopt another son. We will love him with all our hearts.

We would love to meet you and exchange letters, pictures, and gifts throughout the years if you would like. We admire you and love you already. We feel your child should know of the great gift you choose to give to him and to us. May you have the guidance, the peace and strength you need at this time. Our prayers are with you.

With love,
Michelle and Jason
