Robert & Katrina are hopeful adoptive parents from Wyoming waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Rob, Katrina, Peter & Jeremy Thank you for considering our family. We really do commend you for the decision you are making. You are very brave and noble and we can’t wait to meet you if that is your desire. We do have two amazing little boys and would like to have more children, but we are now unable to do so naturally. We have a brother and sister in-law who are infertile and have adopted two beautiful girls through LDS Family services. We are a family of four, Rob (Dad), Katrina (Mom), Peter and Jeremy, and we have one very small cat, Oreo. She is a year older than Peter and therefore thinks that she is in charge.

We both loved living in California, however we moved to a small town in Wyoming so that we could be close to more extended family, buy a house with a yard and be in an area with good public schools. After three years we still stand-out as newcomers because we do crazy things like go outside and take photos of snow. We only got our cars stuck in the snow once our first winter here – one car in front of the mailbox and one in the driveway – both on the same day! Our town is large enough to have a shopping mall and some good ethnic food, but small enough that Trick-or-Treating is still a big deal on Halloween.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We’d love to have the opportunity to meet you, if you’d like, so that you can get a better idea of who we are.
More about Rob Katrina: Rob is very creative and loves to play. He has an amazing singing voice. In his single years, he sang with a quartet called “The Tube Socks.” He loved to sing to all the single girls in his church to try to win their hearts. I was invited to an elaborate Valentines dinner that he and his quartet buddies put together. After a wonderful dinner, that he helped prepare, (he is also quite a good cook,) he serenaded me with “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling” and melted my heart forever. He also loves acting. In 2004 he played Lazar Wolf in a professional production of “Fiddler on the Roof.” He grew his beard out nearly 6 inches for that role. He loves to showcase his talents and he loves to get into character and costume when he does. As if that weren’t enough, he’s learning to play the guitar. He has always liked the way the instrument sounds, and has often wished he could accompany himself with the guitar while he sang, so now he is trying to make a life long dream come true.

Rob was born and raised near Los Angeles, California. He has lived in California his whole life except for his two-year mission for the LDS church in Florida, and for the last three years in Wyoming. He graduated from community college with an emphasis in communication and theater. After that he had a number of interesting jobs while helping to support my career. When I became pregnant with our first son Peter, we decided it was time for one of us to be a stay at home parent to take care of the baby. Rob has been a full-time dad since Peter was born and he loves every minute of it. It isn’t something you see happen all the time, but his talents seem to lend themselves to being a stay at home dad. He is very good with kids and he knows how to have fun with them and be interested in what interests them. He’s been able to volunteer at Peter’s elementary school and is Assistant Den Leader for Peter’s Cub Scout Den. He loves the Boy Scouts of America and he is also very active on the troop committee for the new troop that the Cub Scout pack has just started. He feels that the best way for him to spend time with his kids is to be involved in what his kids are doing. It has been a positive thing in their lives to have their Dad around so much.
More about Katrina Rob: Katrina was born in Australia, but remembers nothing about it since her family moved back to the US while she was a baby. Her first memories are of growing up in a very green area of central North Carolina. It was quite a shock to her when the family moved to Wyoming. While growing up, she took piano lessons and learned to play very well. She also learned that if she played music that her dad liked, it was a good way of getting out of doing chores. After she graduated high school in Wyoming she moved to Utah. And after living in Utah for a year, she moved on to Southern California where she started going to college at night while trying to figure out what to be when she grew up.

Eventually, she ran into me in an LDS singles ward. She thought that I was an odd sort of fellow who had a lot of energy and liked to talk. She really liked my singing voice and thought I was very sweet and handsome. We became engaged after our first date and enjoyed a lengthy engagement getting to know each other. We loved going to the beach on the weekends and planning out our lives together. After getting married in the Jordon River Temple, Katrina graduated from junior college and finally figured out that she likes real estate and numbers. She went back to school again to finish her Bachelor’s degree in business and graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors at the ripe old age of 29. A few years later, she received a Masters in Business Administration. Katrina works for a family-owned commercial real estate developer in southern California. She is a Vice President in charge of finance, accounting, analysis and administration and she has worked for the same firm for 15 years. Thanks to the magic of the internet, when we moved to Wyoming in 2005, Katrina was able to keep her position by telecommuting most of the time while traveling to California once every 6 – 8 weeks. We all go to California several times a year however, and this allows me and the boys to spend time with our California Grandma and cousins while Katrina is at the office. On the weekends and evenings, everyone gets to enjoy the California weather, beach, family & amusement parks. When she has spare time, Katrina likes to make quilts and scrapbooks.
Peter & Jeremy Rob & Katrina: Peter is a very smart little boy with a tender heart. He loves being a Cub Scout and he likes going to school. He and Dad are working on his Pinewood Derby car called “The Blue Bullet.” Peter has been taking piano lessons since he was in Kindergarten and his favorite songs to play are Star Wars songs. He loves roller coasters, especially if they are car themed. Peter likes to put together LEGO’s and he also loves to play the LEGO Star Wars video game on his Play Station. He’s really good at the Dance Pad; he and Mom have all the high scores. Peter had a great time at our visits to the Space Center in Florida and he would like to be an astronaut when he grows up.

Jeremy is our bouncing boy. He loves to jump and climb and make noise. He loves Super Heroes and likes to dress up as Super Heroes even more. He is frequently Spiderman or Superman or some kind of man! Jeremy loves to play with action figures, he never met a roller coaster that he didn’t like and he is also making a Pinewood Derby car. Well, he’s mostly telling Dad what he wants his car to look like – shiny, red and fast! It’s called “The Red Racer.”
