Hello, we are Dan and Ramona Thank you for reviewing our adoption profile. We appreciate how strong you are being because we know it is not an easy decision and it is your love that is giving this child life. It is the about the most selfless act we can imagine and it can make our dream of having a family come true.

Who we are
If you choose us, we look forward to getting to know you and providing you support in what is a very emotionally trying time. This experience will allow us to share with your child how courageous you are being so the child can understand the depth of the sacrifice you are making. We respect your privacy and your needs for knowing the progress of your child. We are open to sharing the development and milestones of this child if that is something you choose, and most of all we will respect the decision you make.

We met in graduate school and immediately became good friends. Throughout school and after graduation we spent a lot of time together and it seemed natural to both of us when we realized that our friendship had developed into something much deeper. We continue to cherish the time we spend together. Laughter and honesty are the foundation of our marriage and we look forward to many years together and sharing in the rewards and challenges of raising a family.

Dan’s thoughts about Ramona There is so much I can say about Ramona, but what I admire most is that she carries herself with grace. She sees so much of the good in everyone she meets. She always has a smile and people are naturally drawn to her because of her positive and caring nature. Family and friends play a big role in our lives, and Ramona creates a fun and warmhearted atmosphere.

I know she will be an amazing mother. Children naturally connect with her and she just has a nurturing way about her. Our nephews crawl all over her, and our niece insists on taking all of Ramona’s time when we are together. She treasures the time she spends with the kids, and they are always excited to see her.

One of the things I love about Ramona is that she is very supportive of me. I am amazed at all of the things I have accomplished since we started dating, and Ramona helped me achieve all of them. She brings out the best in me.

Ramona’s thoughts about Dan I have always felt that Dan is my perfect match. When I first described him to my mother I told her that he is everything I ever wanted in a husband. He is very active, outgoing and always willing to try something new. In fact, he has opened my eyes to new adventures and challenges.

I know Dan will be an amazing Dad. He loves children and especially loves to spend time with our niece and nephews. One time I asked his nephew what they did during the day they spent together. His little nephew just said, “We laughed all day.”

I am fortunate to have such a good friend who shares the same values and interests as me. He will never understand my love for shopping, and I can’t relate to his love of sports. But, those differences make us laugh and balance our relationship. I love that he always wants to include me in his love of sports – I know all his favorite teams and the best players.

Active lifestyle
Outside of the home we value an active lifestyle. Vacations and weekends are our chance for new experiences. Our favorite memories are of sporting events, casual hikes and new adventures.

Gardening & Cooking
Two of our favorite hobbies around the house are gardening and cooking. We love walking in parks and botanical gardens because it gives us new ideas for our own yard. But, we enjoy our vegetable garden most of all. It is so exciting and rewarding to pick the fruits and vegetables and use our homegrown ingredients for dinner. Making tomato sauce is a tradition in the house each fall. We are so proud of what we’ve made and we can’t wait to bring friends and family over to sample our improvised creations. Dan will never follow a single recipe so every meal is an adventure.

Ramona’s Family I have a small, close-knit and supportive family. I am especially close with my mother who looks forward to being big part of our growing family. My family’s support has been outstanding throughout the adoption process, and they are excited to welcome a new child into the family.

We enjoy spending time with them and especially my two young nephews. I always look forward to spoiling them with presents. My oldest nephew is a bit on the mischievous side and therefore shares a particularly close bond with Dan.

Dan’s Family
My family is much larger family with lots of aunts and uncles. I play a big role in the lives of my nephews and niece. Attending their games and just listening to their stories are among our favorite activities.

My family has been equally as supportive of us and we can’t wait to introduce a new cousin to the growing circle of grandchildren.
