Matthew & Deborah are hopeful adoptive parents from Iowa waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birthmother or Expectant Mothers
Thank you for taking the time to read our message. We honor your courage and determination for doing what is best for your child. It takes a truly unselfish and loving person to put the welfare of their child before themselves. You must face both the physical challenges associated with pregnancy, as well as the emotional ones that come with trying to find the best family for your unborn child. This is a very tough decision, and the uncertainty of your own and your child's future must be very difficult to deal with. We hope that this letter helps to make you better acquainted with us as you decide the best place for your child.
Why We Want to Adopt
Have you ever had a time in your life when you knew that something was missing? Somewhere there is a child who is supposed to come into our family through adoption. Somewhere, also, there is you, a loving mother who has made the difficult decision to allow her precious child to be adopted. We want you to know that we are here for you both, ready to help, guide, love and teach your baby and help him or her grow up to be a successful, contributing, caring adult. We have a spot reserved in our family for another child.
Because of difficulty in conceiving, after prayer and listening to the Spirit, we know that adoption is the right way to fill this hole in our family. Love is something that is unconditional, and to love a child is not dependent upon a certain type of birth. This is not the first time that we have known we needed to adopt. There are many ways for children to be joined to a family, and one is not better than the other. Our beautiful daughter Makenzie is adopted--she is truly a gift from God. We honor her birth mother next to our own mothers, for all of them have given us the blessing of life.
About us
We have been married for fifteen years. Matt teaches at a university and Deb is a stay-at-home mom. We live in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. There many parks within close walking distance, as well as beautiful trails to hike on. We love our beautiful, two-story home, with lots of toys, activities and plenty of room for another brother, sister or even twins.
We are emotionally close to our families, and even though we are physically far apart, we always find plenty of opportunities to meet each other at various places around the country. Besides visits, weekly or even daily phone calls keep grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, cousins, and aunts and uncles close.

Our Family
We are a loving and caring family. We have three children. Paul is a caring and happy boy who excels in school and music. He is an exceptional brother who helps and plays with his younger siblings. Makenzie is a bright slip of sunshine in our lives. She loves to learn new things and help out with her younger brother. She loves to create--whether on the art table or in the kitchen with a "new" recipe. The day we picked her up from the hospital and the day the adoption was finalized are some of the best memories we have. Thomas is SO much fun. His passions are cars and animals and playing with his siblings. He amazes us with the number of songs he knows!
We laugh a lot together and are truly concerned with each other’s needs. There is a special spirit waiting to be adopted into our family—we are excited to find out who that spirit is! We are all looking forward to meeting that beautiful baby that we are truly going to adore!
May our Father in Heaven bless and strengthen you during this period in your life. Please know that our prayers and love are with you.
With Deep and Sincere Wishes,
Matt and Deborah
